The Welder unit procured under this Purchase Order must satisfy the following technical criteria to ensure safe and efficient operation in the Zimbabwe Harare industrial environment:
- The Welder shall operate on a 3-phase, 415V, 50Hz electrical supply, consistent with the standard power infrastructure available in Zimbabwe Harare.
- Maximum welding current output of 250 amperes with a duty cycle of no less than 60% at rated output.
- Multi-process capability: MIG (GMAW), TIG (GTAW), and Stick (SMAW) welding modes.
- IGBT inverter-based power supply for energy efficiency and compact form factor.
- Built-in active cooling system with over-temperature protection, essential given the ambient temperatures experienced in Zimbabwe Harare during the summer months (October to March).
- Digital display with programmable parameters for current, voltage, and travel speed.
- Compliance with IEC 60974-1 and SANS 10107 safety standards.
- Minimum 24-month manufacturer's warranty from the date of delivery to Zimbabwe Harare.
The supplier shall arrange for the delivery of the Welder unit and all associated accessories to the designated warehouse at 142 Samora Machel Avenue, Zimbabwe Harare. Delivery shall be made on a DDP (Delivered Duty Paid) basis, meaning the supplier is responsible for all transportation, customs clearance at the Beitbridge border crossing, and final delivery to our premises in Zimbabwe Harare. The estimated transit time from Johannesburg to Zimbabwe Harare is five (5) to seven (7) business days. The supplier must provide a tracking reference and a copy of the Bill of Lading within 48 hours of dispatch.
All packaging must be suitable for the road conditions between South Africa and Zimbabwe Harare, including protection against vibration, moisture, and temperature fluctuations. The Welder unit must be secured on a wooden pallet with shrink-wrap and corner protectors.
- 50% advance payment (USD $8,857.50) due within five (5) business days of acceptance of this Purchase Order.
- 50% balance payment (USD $8,857.50) due upon confirmed delivery and inspection of the Welder at our Zimbabwe Harare facility.
- Payment shall be made via international bank transfer to the supplier's designated account. Reference: PO-ZW-2025-00847.
- All payments are in United States Dollars (USD) to mitigate currency fluctuation risk associated with the Zimbabwean Dollar (ZWL).
Upon arrival in Zimbabwe Harare, our technical team shall conduct a full inspection of the Welder unit within three (3) business days. This inspection will verify that the Welder matches the specifications outlined in this Purchase Order, that all accessories are present, and that the unit powers on and operates correctly. Any defects, missing components, or non-conformities must be reported to the supplier within five (5) business days of delivery. The supplier shall rectify or replace any non-conforming items at no additional cost to Harare Industrial Supply Co. (Pvt) Ltd.
The warranty period for the Welder is twenty-four (24) months from the date of successful acceptance in Zimbabwe Harare. The supplier shall provide a local service contact in Harare for warranty repairs and technical support.
- This Purchase Order is governed by the laws of the Republic of Zimbabwe. Any disputes shall be resolved through arbitration in Zimbabwe Harare in accordance with the Zimbabwe Arbitration Act.
- The supplier warrants that the Welder and all components are new, unused, and free from any liens or encumbrances.
- Time is of the essence. Failure to deliver the Welder within the specified delivery window shall entitle the buyer to a penalty of 1% of the total Purchase Order value per day of delay, up to a maximum of 10%.
- Neither party shall be liable for delays caused by force majeure events, including but not limited to natural disasters, government sanctions, or border closures affecting trade between South Africa and Zimbabwe Harare.
- This Purchase Order may only be amended in writing, signed by authorized representatives of both parties.
