- Payment Schedule: The total amount of R$ 319.400,00 shall be disbursed in four equal installments of R$ 79.850,00, payable at the commencement of the project, at the 30-day, 60-day, and 90-day milestones. All payments shall be made via bank transfer to the Academic Researcher's designated account in a Brazilian financial institution, in accordance with the tax regulations of the Federal District of Brasília.
- Taxation: All applicable taxes, including ISS (Imposto Sobre Serviços) levied by the municipality of Brasília, IR (Imposto de Renda) withholding, and any social security contributions (INSS) required under Brazilian labor and tax law, are included in the quoted rates. The Academic Researcher is registered as a self-employed professional (CNPJ) and shall issue the corresponding Nota Fiscal for each installment.
- Intellectual Property: Upon full payment, all research outputs, including the final report, datasets, and presentation materials, shall become the exclusive property of the requesting institution. The Academic Researcher retains the right to cite the work in future academic publications with proper attribution.
- Confidentiality: The Academic Researcher agrees to maintain strict confidentiality regarding all data collected in Brasília, particularly information pertaining to government operations, citizen interviews, and unpublished policy documents, in compliance with Brazil's General Data Protection Law (LGPD – Lei Geral de Proteção de Dados, Law No. 13.709/2018).
- Revisions: Two rounds of revisions to the final research report are included in this Quotation Estimate. Additional revision cycles beyond the included two shall be billed at R$ 4.500,00 per cycle.
- Force Majeure: Neither party shall be held liable for delays or non-performance resulting from events beyond reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters affecting the Brasília region, government shutdowns, or public health emergencies declared by the Federal Government of Brazil.
- Acceptance: This Quotation Estimate shall become a binding agreement upon written acceptance by both parties. The requesting institution is requested to sign and return a copy within fifteen (15) business days of receipt to confirm engagement of the Academic Researcher for the specified project in Brasília.
