Note: This Quotation Estimate assumes the Academic Researcher will be based primarily in the Canada Montreal area. Should the project require travel to other Canadian provinces or international fieldwork, additional costs will be itemized in a supplementary amendment to this estimate. All rates are in Canadian Dollars (CAD) and are inclusive of standard working hours (Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM, Montreal time).

Payment for the services described in this Quotation Estimate shall be made in quarterly installments, due within thirty (30) calendar days of invoice issuance. The payment schedule for the Academic Researcher engagement is structured as follows:

  • Quarter 1 (July – September 2025): 25% of total = $56,964.37 (due upon project commencement)
  • Quarter 2 (October – December 2025): 25% of total = $56,964.37 (due October 1, 2025)
  • Quarter 3 (January – March 2026): 25% of total = $56,964.37 (due January 2, 2026)
  • Quarter 4 (April – June 2026): 25% of total = $56,964.35 (due April 1, 2026)

Payments shall be remitted via electronic funds transfer (EFT) to the account designated by Montreal Academic Research Consultancy Inc. Late payments shall incur interest at the rate of 1.5% per month, in accordance with the Interest Act of Canada and applicable Quebec provincial regulations.

  • This Quotation Estimate is valid for thirty (30) days from the date of issue. After the expiry date, all rates and availability of the Academic Researcher are subject to re-evaluation.
  • The Academic Researcher engaged under this estimate shall adhere to all ethical guidelines set forth by the Tri-Council Policy Statement (TCPS 2) and the specific Research Ethics Board (REB) of the commissioning institution in Canada Montreal.
  • All intellectual property, data, and publications generated during the course of this engagement shall be jointly owned by the commissioning institution and the Academic Researcher, as stipulated in a separate Intellectual Property Agreement to be executed prior to project commencement.
  • Any changes to the scope of work, duration, or deliverables must be documented in a written Change Order signed by both parties. This Quotation Estimate shall be amended accordingly, and any resulting cost adjustments will be communicated within five (5) business days.
  • Confidentiality: All data, preliminary findings, and unpublished materials related to this Academic Researcher project in Canada Montreal shall be treated as strictly confidential and shall not be disclosed to third parties without written consent.
  • Termination: Either party may terminate this engagement with sixty (60) days written notice. In the event of early termination, the commissioning institution shall be liable for all services rendered up to the termination date, as reflected in a final reconciliation of this Quotation Estimate.
  • Governing Law: This Quotation Estimate and any resulting contract shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the Province of Quebec and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein.
