The following costs are not included in the base Quotation Estimate above and will be billed separately upon actual expenditure, subject to prior written approval from the client:
- Travel and accommodation for fieldwork in municipalities surrounding Bogotá (estimated: COP 4,500,000)
- Software licensing fees for specialized GIS and statistical tools (estimated: COP 2,200,000)
- Publication fees for open-access journal submissions (estimated: COP 6,000,000 for three articles)
- Conference registration, travel, and per diem for national events in Colombia Bogotá (estimated: COP 3,800,000)
- Translation and certification of final deliverables into English (estimated: COP 1,800,000)
Estimated total reimbursable expenses: COP 18,300,000 (approximately USD 4,409.64)
Payment for this Quotation Estimate shall be structured as follows, aligned with the project milestones:
- 30% advance payment (COP 23,220,000) upon contract signature and project kickoff.
- 25% interim payment (COP 19,350,000) upon completion of field data collection (Week 14).
- 25% interim payment (COP 19,350,000) upon delivery of the data analysis and draft journal articles (Week 24).
- 20% final payment (COP 15,480,000) upon acceptance of the final research report and all deliverables (Week 30).
All payments shall be made via bank transfer to the IEAB account at Banco de Bogotá, NIT 900.123.456-7, within fifteen (15) business days of invoice issuance. Late payments shall accrue interest at the rate established by the Superintendencia Financiera de Colombia.
5.1 This Quotation Estimate is valid for thirty (30) calendar days from the date of issue. Beyond this period, all rates and conditions are subject to revision without prior notice.
5.2 The Academic Researcher named in this document is the principal investigator. Any substitution requires the prior written consent of the client. The researcher shall maintain full academic integrity and comply with the ethical standards of the Colombian Association of Researchers (ACI).
5.3 All intellectual property generated during the course of this project in Colombia Bogotá shall be jointly owned by IEAB and the Universidad Nacional de Colombia, as stipulated in a separate Intellectual Property Agreement to be executed concurrently with the main contract.
5.4 The Academic Researcher shall comply with all applicable Colombian labor regulations, data protection laws (Ley 1581 de 2012), and institutional research ethics protocols. Any fieldwork involving human subjects must receive prior approval from the relevant Institutional Review Board (IRB).
5.5 Either party may terminate this agreement with thirty (30) days written notice. In the event of early termination, the client shall be liable for all costs incurred up to the date of termination, plus a 10% administrative fee.
5.6 This Quotation Estimate does not constitute a binding contract. A formal service agreement must be executed by both parties before any work commences. All disputes shall be resolved through arbitration in Bogotá D.C., Colombia, in accordance with the rules of the Centro de Arbitraje y Conciliación de la Cámara de Comercio de Bogotá.
Important Note: This Quotation Estimate has been prepared specifically for the Universidad Nacional de Colombia and is non-transferable. The rates reflect the current academic labor market in Colombia Bogotá and are based on the standard fee schedule of the Instituto de Estudios Avanzados de Bogotá for the 2025 fiscal year.
