The Academic Researcher to be engaged under this Quotation Estimate will perform the following duties and responsibilities in the DR Congo Kinshasa region:

• Design and implement a structured research methodology aligned with the client's objectives, including literature review, survey instrument development, and data collection protocols.
• Conduct primary data collection through structured interviews, focus group discussions, and questionnaire administration across selected neighborhoods in Kinshasa (Gombe, Lemba, Matete, Ngaliema, and Limete).
• Perform secondary data analysis utilizing archives from the University of Kinshasa (UNIKIN), the National Institute of Statistics (INS), and relevant government ministries in the DR Congo.
• Prepare a comprehensive research report of no fewer than 120 pages, including executive summary, methodology, findings, statistical analysis, and policy recommendations.
• Deliver a minimum of two (2) interim progress presentations to the client's steering committee.
• Provide a final oral presentation and Q&A session upon project completion.
• Ensure full compliance with the ethical research standards set forth by the DR Congo National Ethics Committee and applicable Congolese data protection regulations.

Payment for the services outlined in this Quotation Estimate shall be made in three (3) installments to the designated bank account of KACG in Kinshasa, DR Congo:

• First Installment (40%): $26,820.00 – Due upon signed acceptance of this Quotation Estimate and commencement of the Academic Researcher's onboarding.
• Second Installment (35%): $23,467.50 – Due upon submission and approval of the interim research report (Month 6).
• Third Installment (25%): $16,762.50 – Due upon delivery of the final research report and completion of the dissemination workshop.

All payments shall be made via bank transfer to: Bank: BCCO (Banque Commerciale du Congo Oriental), Account Name: Kinshasa Academic Consulting Group, IBAN: CD00 0000 0000 0000 0000 0000. Late payments shall attract a penalty of 1.5% per month.

1. This Quotation Estimate is valid for a period of sixty (60) calendar days from the date of issue. Beyond this period, all rates are subject to revision based on prevailing exchange rates and market conditions in the DR Congo.
2. The Academic Researcher shall maintain full professional confidentiality regarding all data, findings, and proprietary information encountered during the engagement in Kinshasa and the wider DR Congo.
3. All intellectual property rights in the final research deliverables shall vest in the Client upon full and final payment, unless otherwise agreed in a separate IP assignment agreement.
4. The Client shall provide timely access to all necessary sites, archives, and stakeholders within the DR Congo Kinshasa area to facilitate the Academic Researcher's work. Delays caused by the Client shall extend the project timeline proportionally.
5. This engagement is governed by the laws of the Democratic Republic of Congo. Any disputes shall be resolved through arbitration in Kinshasa in accordance with the rules of the Kinshasa Chamber of Commerce.
6. Force majeure events, including but not limited to civil unrest, natural disasters, or government-imposed restrictions in the DR Congo, shall suspend obligations under this agreement without penalty to either party.
7. The Academic Researcher shall comply with all applicable Congolese labor laws, tax obligations, and professional codes of conduct throughout the duration of the engagement.
