This Quotation Estimate is structured with the following payment schedule, aligned with standard invoicing practices in Germany Berlin:
- 30% advance payment (€11,263.35) upon acceptance of this quotation and execution of the service agreement.
- 40% interim payment (€15,017.80) upon completion of fieldwork and delivery of the preliminary data analysis report.
- 30% final payment (€11,263.35) upon delivery and acceptance of the final research report and completion of the public seminar.
All invoices shall be issued in accordance with German tax regulations (Umsatzsteuergesetz) and are payable within 14 calendar days of the invoice date via bank transfer to the account specified on the invoice. Late payments shall accrue interest at the statutory rate of 8 percentage points above the European Central Bank base rate, as stipulated under § 288 of the German Civil Code (BGB).
- This Quotation Estimate is valid for a period of thirty (30) calendar days from the date of issue. Beyond this period, rates and availability of the Academic Researcher are subject to re-evaluation.
- The Academic Researcher shall comply with all applicable data protection regulations, including the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR / DSGVO) and the Berlin Data Protection Act (BDSG-Bln), particularly given the collection of personal data from residents of Germany Berlin.
- All intellectual property rights in the final research report and associated data shall transfer to the client upon full payment, subject to the Academic Researcher's right to cite the work in future academic publications with proper attribution.
- The Academic Researcher is engaged as an independent contractor and not as an employee of the client. Social security contributions, income tax, and professional liability insurance are the sole responsibility of the Academic Researcher.
- Any changes to the scope of work must be agreed upon in writing via a formal change order. Additional hours or deliverables beyond the scope defined in this Quotation Estimate shall be billed at the hourly rate of €95.00 plus applicable VAT.
- Disputes arising from this engagement shall be governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Germany, with exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts in Germany Berlin (Amtsgericht / Landgericht Berlin).
- The Academic Researcher reserves the right to decline or terminate the engagement with fourteen (14) days' written notice in the event of force majeure, including but not limited to public health emergencies affecting operations in Germany Berlin.
- All communications regarding this Quotation Estimate and the subsequent service agreement shall be conducted in English, with the option to provide translated documents in German upon request.
