This Quotation Estimate is issued by our firm to provide a comprehensive and transparent breakdown of costs associated with the engagement of a qualified Academic Researcher for a structured research project commissioned by the Department of Social Sciences, Mumbai University. The scope of this engagement is specifically tailored to the academic, regulatory, and operational environment of India Mumbai, taking into account local institutional requirements, applicable tax regulations under the Government of India, and the specific research needs of the client. This document serves as a formal proposal and cost estimate, and upon acceptance, it shall form the basis of a binding service agreement between the parties.
The Academic Researcher to be engaged under this Quotation Estimate shall perform the following duties and deliverables over a period of twelve (12) months, commencing from the date of contract execution:

- This Quotation Estimate is valid for thirty (30) days from the date of issue. Beyond this period, rates may be revised to reflect changes in market conditions, exchange rates, or regulatory requirements in India Mumbai.
- The Academic Researcher engaged shall be bound by a strict confidentiality and non-disclosure agreement. All raw data, preliminary findings, and unpublished manuscripts shall remain the exclusive intellectual property of the client institution.
- All work shall be conducted in compliance with the University Grants Commission (UGC) guidelines, the Indian Council of Social Science Research (ICSSR) ethical standards, and the applicable provisions of the Indian Copyright Act, 1957.
- Any change in scope, additional fieldwork locations beyond the 12 wards specified in India Mumbai, or extension of the project timeline shall be subject to a supplementary Quotation Estimate and mutual written consent.
- Payment shall be made via bank transfer to the account designated in the service agreement. Late payments shall attract interest at the rate of 1.5% per month as per Indian commercial practice.
- The Academic Researcher shall submit monthly progress reports to the client. A mid-project review meeting shall be conducted at the end of Month 6 at the client's premises in Mumbai.
- This engagement is governed by the laws of India, and any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts in India Mumbai.
- Taxes: All amounts are inclusive of applicable Goods and Services Tax (GST) as per the prevailing rates notified by the Government of India. TDS, if applicable, shall be deducted by the client as per the Income Tax Act, 1961.
By signing below, the client acknowledges receipt of this Quotation Estimate and agrees to the terms, conditions, and cost structure outlined herein for the engagement of the Academic Researcher for the specified research project in India Mumbai. This acceptance shall be deemed a formal order and shall trigger the execution of the detailed service agreement within seven (7) working days.
