The following terms govern the acceptance and execution of this Quotation Estimate for Academic Researcher services in Japan Tokyo:
3.1 Validity: This Quotation Estimate remains valid for a period of ninety (90) calendar days from the date of issue. Beyond this period, all rates and cost estimates are subject to revision based on prevailing market conditions in Japan Tokyo.
3.2 Payment Schedule: Payment shall be made in three installments: thirty percent (30%) upon contract execution, forty percent (40%) upon completion of the data collection phase, and the remaining thirty percent (30%) upon delivery of the final research report. All payments shall be made in Japanese Yen (JPY) via bank transfer to the account designated by Tanaka Research Consultancy, Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo.
3.3 Intellectual Property: All research data, publications, and intellectual property generated by the Academic Researcher during the course of this engagement shall be jointly owned by the sponsoring institution and the Academic Researcher, as stipulated in the separate Intellectual Property Agreement to be executed concurrently with this Quotation Estimate.
3.4 Confidentiality: The Academic Researcher agrees to maintain strict confidentiality regarding all proprietary data, unpublished findings, and internal communications encountered during the research period in Japan Tokyo. This obligation shall survive the termination of the engagement for a period of five (5) years.
3.5 Cancellation and Termination: Either party may terminate this engagement with thirty (30) days written notice. In the event of early termination, the sponsoring institution shall be liable for all costs incurred up to the date of termination, as itemized in this Quotation Estimate.
3.6 Governing Law: This Quotation Estimate and any resulting contract shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Japan. Any disputes arising hereunder shall be resolved through arbitration in Tokyo, Japan, in accordance with the rules of the Japan Commercial Arbitration Association.
The Academic Researcher assigned to this project holds a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Materials Science from the University of Tokyo and possesses over twelve years of postdoctoral research experience. The Academic Researcher has published forty-three (43) peer-reviewed articles in internationally recognized journals and has served as a principal investigator on three JSPS-funded research grants. The Academic Researcher commits to dedicating a minimum of forty (40) hours per week to the project and will maintain a primary work location within the Japan Tokyo metropolitan area to ensure proximity to the designated laboratory facilities and institutional partners.
