3.1 Validity: This Quotation Estimate is valid for thirty (30) calendar days from the date of issue. Upon expiry, the Academic Researcher reserves the right to revise rates based on current market conditions in South Africa Cape Town.
3.2 Payment Schedule: Payment shall be made in three (3) instalments: 40% upon acceptance of this quotation and execution of the Service Agreement; 35% upon completion of data collection (Item 03); and 25% upon delivery of the final report and manuscript (Item 05). All payments are due within fourteen (14) business days of invoice date.
3.3 Intellectual Property: All research outputs, including but not limited to data sets, analyses, manuscripts, and reports produced by the Academic Researcher, shall remain the joint intellectual property of the researcher and the client, as stipulated in the Service Agreement. The Academic Researcher retains the right to publish findings in peer-reviewed journals, subject to a 90-day prior notification to the client.
3.4 Cancellation: Should the client wish to cancel the engagement, a written notice of no fewer than twenty-one (21) days must be provided. In such an event, the client shall be liable for all costs incurred up to the date of cancellation, as detailed in this Quotation Estimate.
3.5 Jurisdiction: This quotation and any resulting agreement shall be governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Any disputes shall be resolved through the courts of competent jurisdiction in Cape Town, Western Province, South Africa.
3.6 Confidentiality: The Academic Researcher undertakes to maintain strict confidentiality regarding all client data, proprietary information, and unpublished findings throughout the duration of the project and for a period of five (5) years thereafter.
By signing below, the client acknowledges receipt of this Quotation Estimate and agrees to the terms, conditions, and pricing outlined herein for the engagement of the Academic Researcher in South Africa Cape Town. This signature does not constitute a contract until the formal Service Agreement has been countersigned by both parties.
