This Quotation Estimate is issued in response to the formal request for professional services submitted by the University of Johannesburg, Faculty of Education and Human Development. All work will be conducted primarily at the University of Johannesburg campus in Auckland Park, Johannesburg, with supplementary fieldwork across the greater Johannesburg and Pretoria research corridors.

1. Payment shall be made in monthly instalments of R 111,741.67 (inclusive of VAT), due on the 28th of each calendar month, commencing September 2025. The final instalment shall be adjusted to account for any variance in actual travel and publication costs.
2. All payments are to be made via electronic funds transfer (EFT) to the account of Mokoena Research & Consultancy (Pty) Ltd, First National Bank, Branch: Sandton, Account No: 6284 1190 337, Branch Code: 250655. Reference: QE-JHB-2025-0472.
3. A 1.5% per month late payment penalty shall apply to any outstanding balance not settled within fourteen (14) business days of the invoice date, in accordance with the National Credit Act of South Africa.
4. This Quotation Estimate does not constitute a binding contract until both parties have executed a formal Service Level Agreement (SLA) and the University of Johannesburg has completed its internal procurement and approval processes.
5. The Academic Researcher reserves the right to withdraw from this engagement with thirty (30) days written notice should the client fail to make two consecutive monthly payments.
6. All intellectual property, data sets, and published outputs arising from this engagement shall be jointly owned by the Academic Researcher and the University of Johannesburg, as stipulated in the institutional research policy of the University of Johannesburg, Johannesburg, South Africa.
7. This estimate is subject to the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA), 2013, and all data collected during fieldwork in the Johannesburg area shall be stored on encrypted servers hosted within South Africa.
8. Any material change in scope exceeding 10% of the original budget shall require a revised Quotation Estimate and written approval from both parties before additional work commences.
This Quotation Estimate is valid for sixty (60) days from the date of issue, i.e., until 14 August 2025. Should the client wish to proceed beyond this validity period, a revised estimate reflecting any changes in market rates, exchange rates, or institutional fee structures in South Africa Johannesburg will be issued. Acceptance of this estimate may be communicated in writing via email to the undersigned Academic Researcher or by signing and returning the acceptance copy of this document.
