This Quotation Estimate is issued to formally outline the professional services to be rendered by a qualified Academic Researcher operating within the academic and institutional framework of Spain Barcelona. The Academic Researcher shall be embedded within the host institution's research division and will conduct original, peer-reviewable scholarship aligned with the strategic objectives of the Barcelona metropolitan research ecosystem.
The services described herein are tailored to the specific regulatory, linguistic, and institutional environment of Spain Barcelona, including compliance with the Spanish Organic Law on Data Protection (LOPDGDD), the Catalan regional research funding regulations, and the ethical review protocols mandated by the Comitè d'Ètica de la Recerca de la Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona.

The Academic Researcher shall deliver the following outputs during the engagement period in Spain Barcelona:
(a) A comprehensive literature review and methodological framework document within the first 90 days of the project.
(b) Three (3) peer-reviewed journal articles submitted to internationally recognised publications.
(c) One (1) doctoral-level monograph or extended research report (minimum 80,000 words) deposited in the institutional repository of the host university.
(d) Quarterly progress reports submitted to the project steering committee, formatted in accordance with the European Commission's Horizon Europe reporting standards.
(e) A final public defence or presentation at a recognised academic venue in Barcelona, open to the broader research community of Spain Barcelona.
Payment for this Quotation Estimate shall be structured as follows: 25% upon contract execution, 25% at the completion of Month 4, 25% at the completion of Month 8, and the remaining 25% upon final acceptance of all deliverables. All payments shall be made via bank transfer to the designated institutional account in Barcelona, Spain. Late payments shall accrue interest at the rate established by the Spanish Ley de Morosidad (Royal Decree-Law 4/2013).
5.1 This Quotation Estimate is a non-binding proposal and does not constitute a contractual obligation until a formal service agreement is executed by both parties in writing.
5.2 The Academic Researcher shall maintain full academic integrity and shall not engage in any form of research misconduct as defined by the Spanish National Research Ethics Committee (Comité Nacional de Ética de la Investigación).
5.3 All intellectual property generated during the engagement shall be governed by the intellectual property policy of the host institution in Spain Barcelona and, where applicable, by the terms of any co-funding agreement with the European Research Council or the Catalan Agency for Management of University and Research Grants (AGAUR).
5.4 Either party may terminate the engagement with 60 days' written notice. In the event of early termination, a pro-rata adjustment to the Quotation Estimate totals shall be applied.
5.5 This document is governed by the laws of the Kingdom of Spain, with exclusive jurisdiction vested in the courts of Barcelona, Spain.
