The Academic Researcher engaged under this Quotation Estimate shall perform the following duties and deliverables within the Tanzania Dar es Salaam operational framework:

The Academic Researcher assigned to this project in Tanzania Dar es Salaam shall hold a minimum of a Doctorate (PhD) in a relevant social science, public health, or development studies discipline. The Academic Researcher must demonstrate a minimum of eight (8) years of post-doctoral research experience, a published record of at least fifteen (15) peer-reviewed articles, and prior experience conducting field research in East African contexts. All qualifications will be verified prior to commencement of work under this Quotation Estimate.
Payment for the services outlined in this Quotation Estimate shall be made in the following tranches, payable to the EARCI account at National Bank of Commerce, Tanzania Dar es Salaam branch:
- 30% (TZS 12,300,000) – Upon signing of the engagement contract and submission of the approved research design by the Academic Researcher.
- 40% (TZS 16,400,000) – Upon successful completion of field data collection and submission of the interim progress report.
- 25% (TZS 10,250,000) – Upon delivery of the final research report and acceptance by the client.
- 5% (TZS 2,050,000) – Upon completion of publication support and final project close-out.
- This Quotation Estimate is valid for thirty (30) calendar days from the date of issue. Beyond this period, all costs are subject to revision due to market fluctuations in Tanzania Dar es Salaam.
- All prices are quoted in Tanzanian Shillings (TZS) and are inclusive of applicable Value Added Tax (VAT) at the prevailing rate of 18% as mandated by the Tanzania Revenue Authority.
- The Academic Researcher shall adhere to all ethical guidelines set forth by the National Institute for Medical Research (NIMR) and the Tanzania Commission for Science and Technology (COSTECH).
- Intellectual property rights for all research outputs shall be jointly held by the client and EARCI, as stipulated in the master service agreement.
- Any changes to the scope of work must be documented in a formal amendment to this Quotation Estimate and signed by both parties before additional work commences.
- Disputes arising from this engagement shall be resolved through arbitration in Tanzania Dar es Salaam in accordance with the Arbitration Act, Cap. 20, Laws of Tanzania.
- The Academic Researcher shall maintain full professional confidentiality regarding all data collected, particularly sensitive community health information gathered in Tanzania Dar es Salaam and its surrounding regions.
The total estimated duration for the Academic Researcher engagement under this Quotation Estimate is seventeen (17) weeks, commencing on 1 August 2025 and concluding by 21 November 2025, subject to client approval and regulatory clearances obtained in Tanzania Dar es Salaam.
By signing below, the client acknowledges receipt of this Quotation Estimate and agrees to the terms, conditions, and financial obligations outlined herein for the engagement of the Academic Researcher in Tanzania Dar es Salaam.
