This Quotation Estimate proposes the following payment milestones, all payable within 30 days of invoice issuance to the Birmingham, United Kingdom office of the contracting institution:
- Milestone 1 (25%): Upon execution of the service agreement and commencement of the Academic Researcher engagement – £39,480.00
- Milestone 2 (25%): Upon completion of data collection and submission of interim progress report – £39,480.00
- Milestone 3 (25%): Upon submission of both peer-reviewed articles and delivery of the conference presentation – £39,480.00
- Milestone 4 (25%): Upon delivery of the final research report and completion of knowledge transfer workshops – £39,480.00
- This Quotation Estimate is valid for a period of thirty (30) calendar days from the date of issue. Beyond this period, all rates and terms are subject to renegotiation.
- The Academic Researcher shall operate in strict compliance with the University of Birmingham's Research Ethics Committee (REC) guidelines and all data protection legislation applicable in the United Kingdom, including the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.
- All intellectual property generated under this engagement shall be jointly owned by the contracting institution and the Academic Researcher, as stipulated in the executed service agreement.
- The Academic Researcher shall maintain professional indemnity insurance with a minimum cover of £5,000,000, valid throughout the duration of the engagement in Birmingham, United Kingdom.
- Any variation to the scope of services outlined in this Quotation Estimate must be agreed in writing by both parties prior to commencement of additional work. A supplementary Quotation Estimate shall be issued for any such variation.
- Disputes arising from this engagement shall be resolved in accordance with the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of Birmingham, United Kingdom shall have exclusive jurisdiction.
- The Academic Researcher reserves the right to withdraw from this engagement with fourteen (14) days' written notice in the event of material breach by the contracting party.
- All costs are quoted in British Pounds Sterling (GBP) and are inclusive of all travel within the Birmingham metropolitan area. Travel outside the West Midlands region shall be billed at actual cost with prior written approval.
By signing below, both parties confirm their acceptance of this Quotation Estimate and agree to be bound by the terms, conditions, and financial obligations set forth herein for the engagement of the Academic Researcher in Birmingham, United Kingdom.
