This Quotation Estimate is issued by Stratos Aerospace Consulting Ltd. in response to the formal request for professional services submitted by Meridian Defence & Aviation Group Ltd. The purpose of this document is to provide a comprehensive, itemised cost breakdown for the engagement of a senior Aerospace Engineer to deliver structural analysis, systems integration, and compliance verification services for the MDAG-2025-AE-019 programme. All work described herein will be executed within the United Kingdom Birmingham metropolitan area, with primary operations conducted at the client's facility on Fosse Street and supplementary work at our Birmingham office on New Street.
This Quotation Estimate has been prepared in accordance with the Royal Aeronautical Society (RAeS) professional standards and the Institution of Mechanical Engineers (IMechE) code of practice. All rates reflect current market conditions for qualified Aerospace Engineer services in the United Kingdom Birmingham region as of June 2025.
The Aerospace Engineer engaged under this Quotation Estimate will provide the following professional services to the client, all to be performed in or around United Kingdom Birmingham:
- Structural finite element analysis (FEA) of composite airframe components in compliance with EASA CS-25 and CS-27 airworthiness regulations.
- Systems integration review and interface control document (ICD) preparation for the propulsion subsystem.
- Thermal and vibration analysis of the landing gear assembly, including fatigue life prediction per SAE AS9100D quality management standards.
- Preparation of technical design reports, engineering calculations, and certification support documentation for submission to the UK Civil Aviation Authority (UK CAA).
- On-site inspection and non-destructive testing (NDT) coordination at the client's Birmingham manufacturing facility.
- Two (2) weekly progress review meetings held at the client's premises in Birmingham, United Kingdom.
- Final project close-out report including recommendations for future design iterations.

- This Quotation Estimate is valid for a period of ninety (90) calendar days from the date of issue. Beyond this period, all rates and availability of the Aerospace Engineer are subject to reconfirmation.
- Payment terms: 30% advance deposit upon acceptance of this Quotation Estimate, 40% upon completion of the structural analysis phase, and 30% upon final project close-out and delivery of all documentation.
- All invoices are payable within thirty (30) days of the invoice date. Late payments will attract interest at 2% per month in accordance with the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998.
- The Aerospace Engineer shall comply with all applicable UK health and safety legislation, including the Management of Health and Safety at Work Regulations 1999, while working at the client's Birmingham premises.
- Intellectual property generated specifically for the client under this engagement shall vest in the client upon full payment. General methodologies, tools, and know-how retained by Stratos Aerospace Consulting Ltd. remain the property of the consultant.
- Confidentiality: Both parties agree to maintain strict confidentiality of all technical data, design drawings, and commercial information exchanged during the course of this project, in line with the UK Data Protection Act 2018 and GDPR.
- Force Majeure: Neither party shall be liable for delays or failures in performance caused by events beyond reasonable control, including but not limited to acts of God, industrial action, or government-imposed restrictions within the United Kingdom.
- Disputes arising from this Quotation Estimate or the resulting contract shall be resolved by arbitration in Birmingham, United Kingdom, in accordance with the rules of the London Court of International Arbitration (LCIA).
- This Quotation Estimate does not constitute a binding contract until formally accepted in writing by both parties and a definitive services agreement is executed.
- The Aerospace Engineer assumes that all preliminary design data, CAD models, and material specifications will be provided by the client within five (5) working days of contract commencement.
- Costs for third-party laboratory testing (e.g., full-scale fatigue testing at a national facility) are excluded from this Quotation Estimate and will be quoted separately if required.
- Any scope changes exceeding 10% of the original estimated hours will trigger a formal variation order and revised Quotation Estimate.
- The Aerospace Engineer is not responsible for delays caused by the client's failure to provide access to the Birmingham facility or to approve deliverables within the agreed review period of ten (10) working days.
