Payment for the Architect's services under this Quotation Estimate shall be made in accordance with the following milestone schedule: 10% upon execution of the professional services agreement, 15% upon completion of Schematic Design, 20% upon completion of Design Development, 25% upon completion of Construction Documentation, 15% upon permit approval by the City of Vancouver, 10% upon substantial completion of construction, and 5% upon final close-out. All invoices are payable within thirty (30) days of receipt. Late payments shall accrue interest at the rate prescribed under the British Columbia Interest Act.
- This Quotation Estimate is valid for sixty (60) days from the date of issue. After this period, the Architect reserves the right to revise fees due to market conditions in Vancouver, Canada.
- All fees are quoted in Canadian Dollars (CAD) and are subject to the applicable Goods and Services Tax (GST) at 5% as governed by the Canada Revenue Agency.
- The Architect shall maintain professional liability insurance with a minimum coverage of $5,000,000 CAD, as required for registered Architects in British Columbia.
- This Quotation Estimate does not include costs for third-party consultants (structural engineer, geotechnical engineer, environmental assessor), municipal permit fees, or construction costs. These shall be quoted separately.
- The Architect's services are governed by the Professional Engineers and Geoscientists Act and the Architects Act of British Columbia, Canada.
- Any changes to the project scope beyond the original Quotation Estimate shall be documented in a written change order signed by both parties before additional work commences.
- All intellectual property, drawings, and design documents produced by the Architect remain the property of Coastal Pacific Architectural Group Inc. until full payment is received.
