Thank you for your enquiry regarding architectural design and planning services for the proposed residential extension and interior renovation project at the above address. This Quotation Estimate has been prepared by our Architect team at Blackfriars Architectural Practice Ltd, a RIBA-registered firm operating in United Kingdom Birmingham and the surrounding West Midlands region. As your designated Architect in United Kingdom Birmingham, our firm will provide the full RIBA Stages 0 through 7 services, encompassing feasibility studies, concept design, developed design, technical design, construction documentation, tendering, and construction phase support. All rates quoted are exclusive of VAT unless otherwise stated. This Quotation Estimate is based on the current fee schedule of our Architect practice in United Kingdom Birmingham. Rates are subject to annual review in line with RIBA guidance and local market conditions.
This Quotation Estimate for Architect services in United Kingdom Birmingham shall be paid in accordance with the following milestone schedule:

1. This Quotation Estimate is valid for a period of ninety (90) days from the date of issue. After this period, the Architect reserves the right to revise fees to reflect any changes in operational costs, material indices, or market conditions in United Kingdom Birmingham.
2. The Architect shall be appointed in accordance with the RIBA Standard Conditions of Engagement (2023 edition). A formal contract shall be executed prior to the commencement of any design work.
3. All drawings, documents, and intellectual property produced by the Architect remain the property of Blackfriars Architectural Practice Ltd until full payment of all fees has been received.
4. The Architect shall carry out all duties with reasonable skill and care, in accordance with the standards expected of a competent RIBA Chartered Architect practising in the United Kingdom Birmingham region.
5. Any variation to the scope of works beyond the original brief shall be subject to a supplementary Quotation Estimate issued by the Architect prior to additional work commencing.
6. The Architect shall maintain professional indemnity insurance of not less than £5,000,000 per claim, in compliance with the RIBA minimum requirements for practices operating in the United Kingdom.
7. Disputes arising from this Quotation Estimate or the subsequent appointment shall be resolved in accordance with the RIBA Dispute Resolution Procedure, with jurisdiction in the courts of United Kingdom Birmingham.
8. The Architect shall comply with all applicable data protection legislation, including the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.
9. Travel and accommodation costs for site visits outside the Birmingham city centre (beyond a 10-mile radius) shall be charged at actual cost, as detailed in a supplementary Quotation Estimate.
10. This Quotation Estimate does not include third-party costs such as planning application fees, Building Regulations approval fees, surveyor reports, or specialist consultant fees, which will be quoted separately by the Architect as they become applicable.
By signing below, the client acknowledges and accepts this Quotation Estimate for Architect services to be delivered in United Kingdom Birmingham. The Architect shall proceed with the project in accordance with the terms set out herein upon receipt of the advance payment.
