This Quotation Estimate is structured for payment in four (4) equal quarterly installments of R$ 278,769.25, due on the 5th business day of each quarter. Payment shall be made via bank transfer to the account of Celestial Sciences Consulting Ltda., Banco do Brasil, Agência 1234-5, Conta Corrente 67890-1, CNPJ 12.345.678/0001-90. Late payments shall accrue interest at the rate of 1% per month plus SELIC index, in accordance with Brazilian commercial law.
- This Quotation Estimate is valid for thirty (30) calendar days from the date of issue. After this period, all prices are subject to revision due to currency fluctuations and market conditions in Brazil.
- The Astronomer engaged under this estimate shall comply with all applicable Brazilian labor regulations, including CLT provisions where applicable, and the specific academic bylaws of the Universidade de Brasília.
- All intellectual property generated during the engagement, including research data, software, and publications, shall be jointly owned by the Astronomer and the client institution, as stipulated in the formal service contract.
- The Astronomer shall maintain professional liability insurance with a minimum coverage of R$ 500,000.00 throughout the duration of the engagement in Brasília.
- Either party may terminate the engagement with a written notice of sixty (60) days. In such case, a pro-rata settlement of all services rendered up to the termination date shall be applied.
- All observations and data collected in the Brasília region shall be archived in the institutional repository of UnB within thirty (30) days of collection, in compliance with Brazilian data protection law (LGPD – Lei Geral de Proteção de Dados).
- This Quotation Estimate does not constitute a binding contract. A formal service agreement must be executed by both parties before any work commences.
- Disputes arising from this estimate or the subsequent contract shall be resolved by arbitration in Brasília – DF, Brazil, under the rules of the CAM-CCBC (Câmara de Arbitragem do Centro de Conciliação e Arbitragem do Brasil).
