This Quotation Estimate is issued by Stellar Horizon Astronomical Consulting Ltd. to provide a comprehensive, itemized financial projection for the engagement of a senior Astronomer and supporting technical team to deliver specialized observational, analytical, and advisory services within the Canada Vancouver metropolitan region and its surrounding astronomical sites. This document outlines all costs, deliverables, timelines, and conditions associated with the proposed engagement. The Astronomer services described herein are tailored specifically to the unique geographic, atmospheric, and institutional requirements of the Canada Vancouver area, including the Pacific Northwest's distinctive dark-sky conditions and coastal visibility parameters.

The engaged Astronomer shall perform the following duties and deliverables as part of this Quotation Estimate:

  • Observational Campaigns: Conduct a minimum of 48 nights of deep-sky and solar-system observations from the Mount Seymour Observatory and two additional dark-sky field sites within 120 km of Canada Vancouver. The Astronomer will operate a 0.9-meter Ritchey-Chrétien telescope and a 0.6-meter Cassegrain system, capturing photometric and spectroscopic data across visible and near-infrared wavelengths.
  • Data Analysis and Modelling: Process all raw observational data using professional-grade pipelines (AstroPy, IRAF, and custom Python frameworks). The Astronomer will produce calibrated light curves, spectral classifications, and astrometric solutions for a minimum of 200 target objects per quarter.
  • Advisory and Consultation: Provide bi-weekly on-site consultation sessions at the client's Canada Vancouver research facility. The Astronomer will advise on instrument upgrades, observational strategy, and alignment with current peer-reviewed literature in astrophysics and cosmology.
  • Public Outreach and Education: Deliver four (4) public astronomy lectures and two (2) school-visit programs within the Canada Vancouver school district, promoting scientific literacy and engagement with the Astronomer's research findings.
