- This Quotation Estimate is valid for thirty (30) calendar days from the date of issue. After the expiry date, all rates and availability of the Astronomer are subject to re-evaluation and may be adjusted to reflect current market conditions in Chile Santiago.
- Payment terms: 40% advance upon acceptance of this Quotation Estimate, 35% upon completion of the first six (6) months of service, and 25% upon final delivery of all reports and the co-authored journal article. All payments shall be made in Chilean Pesos (CLP) via bank transfer to the account of the Astronomer registered in Santiago, Chile.
- The Astronomer reserves the right to reschedule field observation nights at Cerro Paranal due to adverse weather conditions, equipment maintenance, or atmospheric turbulence exceeding 1.5 arcseconds. Rescheduled nights will be compensated within the same project period at no additional cost.
- All intellectual property generated during the engagement, including raw observational data, reduced datasets, and draft manuscripts, shall be jointly owned by the Astronomer and the Universidad de Chile, as stipulated in the separate Intellectual Property Agreement to be executed prior to commencement of work in Santiago, Chile.
- This Quotation Estimate does not constitute a binding contract until countersigned by both parties. The Astronomer's availability in Chile Santiago is contingent upon the absence of conflicting commitments to other Chilean or international observatory programs.
- Any changes to the scope of work, additional observation nights, or extended consultancy hours beyond those specified in this Quotation Estimate must be agreed upon in writing and will be billed at the unit rates stated in Section 2.
