The Astronomer to be deployed under this engagement will hold a Doctorate in Astrophysics or a closely related discipline and will possess a minimum of fifteen years of professional experience in observational astronomy, data analysis, and academic mentorship. The services will be rendered primarily at the Cairo University observatory facilities in Giza, with additional fieldwork conducted at the Heliopolis Astronomical Station and select desert observation sites in the western Egypt Cairo governorate.

The scope of work includes, but is not limited to: (a) design and supervision of a new deep-sky survey programme targeting the northern celestial hemisphere; (b) calibration and maintenance of the 600mm reflector telescope housed at the Giza facility; (c) weekly research seminars for graduate students in the Department of Astronomy; (d) collaborative publication of at least three peer-reviewed articles per annum; (e) advisory consultation on the proposed expansion of the Egypt Cairo astronomical research network; and (f) public outreach events, including stargazing nights and school visits, to be held in various districts of Egypt Cairo during the academic year.

Payment for the services described in this Quotation Estimate shall be made in four equal quarterly instalments, each amounting to EGP 570,342 (inclusive of VAT). The first instalment is due within fifteen (15) business days of the formal acceptance of this Quotation Estimate and the execution of the master service agreement. Subsequent instalments are due on the first business day of each quarter. All payments shall be remitted via bank transfer to the account of Nile Celestial Consulting & Research Ltd. at the National Bank of Egypt, Cairo branch. Late payments shall accrue interest at a rate of 1.5% per month, in accordance with Egyptian commercial law.

• This Quotation Estimate is valid for thirty (30) calendar days from the date of issue. Beyond this period, all rates are subject to revision based on prevailing market conditions in Egypt Cairo.
• The Astronomer engaged under this contract shall comply with all applicable Egyptian labour regulations, professional licensing requirements, and institutional policies of Cairo University.
• All intellectual property generated during the course of the engagement, including survey data, publications, and software, shall be jointly owned by Nile Celestial Consulting & Research Ltd. and the requesting institution, as stipulated in the master agreement.
• Either party may terminate the engagement with a written notice of sixty (60) days. In such an event, a pro-rata settlement of outstanding fees shall be calculated and paid within thirty (30) days of the termination date.
• This Quotation Estimate does not constitute a binding contract until both parties have executed the formal service agreement. All terms herein are subject to final legal review by the respective legal counsel of both parties.
• Force majeure events, including but not limited to severe weather conditions affecting astronomical observations in Egypt Cairo, political disruptions, or government-mandated closures, shall exempt the Astronomer from performance obligations for the duration of such events without penalty.
• All personal data collected during the engagement shall be handled in accordance with the Egyptian Personal Data Protection Law (Law No. 151 of 2020).

By signing below, the requesting institution acknowledges receipt of this Quotation Estimate and confirms its intent to proceed with the engagement of the Astronomer as described herein for the Egypt Cairo project. This signature does not constitute final acceptance until the master service agreement has been countersigned by both parties.
