- This Quotation Estimate is valid for a period of ninety (90) calendar days from the date of issue. Any engagement beyond this validity period shall require a revised Quotation Estimate reflecting current market rates in Ethiopia Addis Ababa.
- All costs are quoted in Ethiopian Birr (ETB) unless otherwise stated. Currency conversion rates are indicative and subject to the National Bank of Ethiopia's published rate on the date of each payment disbursement.
- The Astronomer shall be required to maintain a minimum of 90% physical presence in Ethiopia Addis Ababa throughout the engagement period, with remote work permitted only for approved conference attendance or sabbatical research.
- Payment shall be disbursed in quarterly installments (25% per quarter) within fifteen (15) business days of the end of each quarter, subject to satisfactory performance review by the Institute's Director.
- The Astronomer shall comply with all applicable Ethiopian labor laws, tax regulations, and the Federal Government of Ethiopia's foreign expert engagement guidelines as administered by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education.
- Intellectual property generated by the Astronomer during the course of this engagement shall be jointly owned by the Ethiopian Institute of Astronomy & Space Sciences and the Astronomer, with publication rights shared equally.
- This Quotation Estimate does not constitute a binding contract. A formal employment or consultancy agreement, subject to legal review by both parties, must be executed prior to the commencement of services.
- Early termination by either party requires a written notice of ninety (90) days. In the event of early termination, all unspent line items in this Quotation Estimate shall be forfeited, and a pro-rata settlement shall be computed.
- All personal data of the Astronomer collected during the recruitment and engagement process shall be handled in accordance with Ethiopia's Data Protection Proclamation No. 1104/2019.
