The scope of this engagement encompasses the full spectrum of duties expected of a professional Astronomer operating in the unique scientific and cultural environment of France Paris, including but not limited to: operation of the historic 193-centimetre telescope, coordination of multi-wavelength observational campaigns, data reduction and astrophysical modelling, peer-reviewed publication support, and public outreach programmes aligned with the French National Research Agency (ANR) strategic priorities.

The Astronomer engaged under this Quotation Estimate will be based at the Observatoire de Paris facility in the 5th arrondissement of France Paris and will report directly to the Head of the Astrophysics Department. The engagement period is twelve (12) months, renewable upon mutual agreement. The Astronomer will dedicate a minimum of 35 hours per week to the project, with additional on-call availability for time-sensitive observational windows as dictated by celestial mechanics and the seasonal visibility of target objects from the Paris latitude (48°49'N, 2°20'E).

This Quotation Estimate is structured for payment in quarterly instalments. The client shall remit 25% of the total amount within thirty (30) days of each quarter's completion, subject to satisfactory delivery of the Astronomer's reported outputs. Payment shall be made via bank transfer to the account designated in the contract annex. Late payments shall incur interest at the rate prescribed by French commercial law (Code de commerce, Article L441-10).

• This Quotation Estimate is valid for thirty (30) calendar days from the date of issue. Any acceptance beyond this period requires written reconfirmation of pricing.
• The Astronomer engaged under this agreement shall comply with all applicable French labour regulations, including those governing scientific research personnel in the public and private sectors of France Paris.
• All observational data, models, and publications generated during the engagement shall be jointly owned by the client institution and the Astronomer, subject to the terms of the ANR open-access mandate.
• The Astronomer shall maintain professional registration with the Société Française d'Astronomie et d'Astrophysique (SFAA) and shall adhere to the ethical standards of the International Astronomical Union (IAU).
• Either party may terminate the engagement with sixty (60) days' written notice. In the event of early termination, a pro-rata settlement of services rendered to date shall apply.
• This Quotation Estimate does not constitute a binding contract until both parties have executed the formal service agreement in duplicate.
• All disputes arising from this engagement shall be resolved under the jurisdiction of the Tribunal de Commerce de Paris, France Paris.

To accept this Quotation Estimate, please sign and return one copy of this document within the validity period. Upon receipt of the signed acceptance, our office in France Paris will issue the formal service contract and schedule the onboarding of the Astronomer at the Observatoire de Paris facility.
