Thank you for your request for a Quotation Estimate regarding the engagement of a senior Astronomer to provide specialised consulting, research supervision, and observational services for your institution based in Nigeria Lagos. The Astronomer engaged under this Quotation Estimate shall perform the following duties at the Nigerian Institute of Space & Astronomy premises in Nigeria Lagos:
- Conduct weekly observational sessions using the 600mm refractor telescope housed at the Yaba campus, including celestial object tracking, spectroscopic analysis, and photometric surveys relevant to the West African sky.
- Provide academic supervision to a cohort of twelve (12) postgraduate students pursuing MSc and PhD programmes in Astrophysics and Planetary Science.
- Deliver a minimum of four (4) public outreach lectures per quarter at the Lagos Science Centre and partner secondary schools across the Nigeria Lagos metropolitan area.
- Author and co-author a minimum of two (2) peer-reviewed research papers per annum in international journals, with the Nigerian Institute of Space & Astronomy listed as a co-affiliated institution.
- Advise the Director of Research on the procurement, calibration, and maintenance of astronomical instrumentation, including radio telescope components and CCD camera systems.
- Coordinate with the Nigerian Space Research and Development Agency (NASRDA) on joint observation campaigns scheduled for the Nigeria Lagos region.

* All figures are quoted in Nigerian Naira (NGN). Exchange rate reference: 1 USD ≈ 1,580 NGN as at the date of this Quotation Estimate.
In accordance with the terms of this Quotation Estimate, payment shall be structured as follows:
- 30% advance payment (NGN 31,593,712.50) due within fourteen (14) calendar days of acceptance of this Quotation Estimate, prior to the Astronomer's deployment to Nigeria Lagos.
- 40% milestone payment (NGN 42,124,950.00) due at the completion of the sixth (6th) month of the engagement.
- 30% final payment (NGN 31,593,712.50) due within twenty-one (21) days of the Astronomer's final report submission and project close-out.
- This Quotation Estimate is valid for thirty (30) days from the date of issue. Beyond this period, all rates are subject to revision based on prevailing exchange rates and operational costs in Nigeria Lagos.
- The Astronomer shall be available for a minimum of five (5) working days per week at the Nigerian Institute of Space & Astronomy, Yaba, Nigeria Lagos, with a standard working week of forty (40) hours.
- Any additional services beyond the scope defined in Section 1 shall be subject to a supplementary Quotation Estimate issued by Stellar Sciences & Astronomical Consultancy Ltd. and accepted in writing by the client.
- The client shall provide a dedicated workspace, access to the observatory dome, and all necessary institutional credentials for the Astronomer during the tenure in Nigeria Lagos.
- Intellectual property generated during the engagement shall be jointly owned by the client and the Astronomer, with publication rights shared equally.
- Either party may terminate the engagement with sixty (60) days' written notice. In such an event, the Astronomer shall be compensated pro-rata for services rendered up to the termination date.
- All disputes arising from this Quotation Estimate shall be resolved through arbitration in Nigeria Lagos in accordance with the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, Cap A18, Laws of the Federation of Nigeria, 2004.
- This Quotation Estimate does not constitute a binding contract until countersigned by both parties and the advance payment has been received in full.
By signing below, the client acknowledges receipt of this Quotation Estimate and agrees to the terms, conditions, and cost structure outlined herein for the engagement of the Astronomer in Nigeria Lagos.
