4.1 This Quotation Estimate is valid for a period of ninety (90) calendar days from the date of issue. After this period, all rates are subject to revision due to currency fluctuations, equipment pricing changes, or updated municipal regulations in South Africa Johannesburg.
4.2 Payment terms: 30% deposit upon acceptance of this Quotation Estimate; 40% upon completion of the observational programme (end of March 2026); 30% upon delivery and acceptance of the final research report (April 2026). All payments are due within fourteen (14) days of invoice date.
4.3 The Astronomer shall comply with all applicable South African labour legislation, the National Environmental Management Act, and the specific bylaws of the City of Johannesburg governing nighttime light emissions and vehicle access to the campus after 22:00.
4.4 Any additional nights of observation, extra outreach events, or scope changes beyond those itemised in this Quotation Estimate will be subject to a supplementary quotation at the same unit rates stated herein.
4.5 Skyline Astronomical Consulting (Pty) Ltd shall carry professional indemnity insurance of no less than R 5,000,000 for the duration of the engagement in South Africa Johannesburg.
4.6 This Quotation Estimate does not constitute a binding contract until both parties have executed the formal Service Level Agreement (SLA) document, which will be issued upon written acceptance of this estimate.
Note: All prices are quoted in South African Rand (ZAR) and are inclusive of all applicable taxes unless otherwise stated. This Quotation Estimate is prepared exclusively for the named client and may not be transferred or used for any other purpose without prior written consent from Skyline Astronomical Consulting (Pty) Ltd. 5. AcceptanceBy signing below, the client acknowledges receipt of this Quotation Estimate and agrees to the terms and conditions set out herein. The Astronomer engagement will commence on 2 January 2026, subject to final confirmation by both parties no later than 15 December 2025.
