This Quotation Estimate is issued by Celestial Sciences Consulting S.L. in response to the formal request received from Fundació Astronòmica Mediterrània for the engagement of a senior Astronomer to provide comprehensive observational, educational, and research support services in Spain Barcelona. The scope of work encompasses a twelve-month contract period commencing on 1 September 2025 and concluding on 31 August 2026, during which the appointed Astronomer will be based at the Montjuïc Observatory facility in Barcelona and will conduct fieldwork at designated sites across the Catalonia region.

The Astronomer engaged under this Quotation Estimate shall hold a minimum of a Doctorate in Astrophysics or a related discipline, possess no fewer than ten years of professional experience in observational astronomy, and demonstrate proven expertise in public outreach, scientific instrumentation, and the coordination of multi-site research programmes. All services will be delivered in accordance with the regulatory framework governing scientific research and public events in Spain Barcelona, including compliance with local noise ordinances, environmental protection statutes, and the Catalan regional tourism authority guidelines.

The total amount specified in this Quotation Estimate shall be invoiced on a quarterly basis, with each invoice covering a three-month period of the Astronomer's engagement. Payment is due within thirty (30) calendar days of the invoice date via bank transfer to the account designated by Celestial Sciences Consulting S.L. A late payment penalty of 1.5% per month will apply to any outstanding balance. The client acknowledges that this Quotation Estimate is binding upon written acceptance and signature by both parties.

Validity: This Quotation Estimate is valid for thirty (30) days from the date of issue. After this period, all prices and availability of the Astronomer are subject to revision.
Substitution: In the event that the primary Astronomer is unavailable due to illness or force majeure, Celestial Sciences Consulting S.L. shall provide a substitute of equivalent qualifications at no additional cost, subject to prior written approval by the client.
Intellectual Property: All research data, publications, and educational materials produced by the Astronomer during the contract term in Spain Barcelona shall be jointly owned by the client and Celestial Sciences Consulting S.L., as detailed in a separate IP annex.
Termination: Either party may terminate the agreement with sixty (60) days' written notice. In such case, the client shall be liable for all services rendered up to the termination date plus a 10% early-termination fee.
Compliance: The Astronomer shall comply with all applicable laws and regulations of Spain, the Autonomous Community of Catalonia, and the municipality of Barcelona, including data protection (GDPR), workplace safety, and environmental legislation.
Dispute Resolution: Any dispute arising from this Quotation Estimate shall be resolved through mediation in Barcelona, Spain, and, failing mediation, by the competent courts of Barcelona.
Confidentiality: Both parties agree to maintain strict confidentiality regarding all proprietary information exchanged during the course of this engagement.
