Payment for this Quotation Estimate shall be made in Tanzanian Shillings (TZS) via bank transfer to the designated Baker Engineering & Construction Ltd account at CRDB Bank, Dar es Salaam Branch. The payment schedule is structured as follows:
- 30% advance payment upon signing of the contract and receipt of the signed Quotation Estimate acceptance letter.
- 40% progress payment upon completion of structural reinforcement works (Items 1–3) and verified by the client's independent engineer.
- 20% progress payment upon completion of drainage and waterproofing works (Items 4–6).
- 10% final payment upon project handover, final inspection, and issuance of the completion certificate by the Dar es Salaam City Council building inspectorate.
- This Quotation Estimate is valid for thirty (30) calendar days from the date of issue. After this period, Baker reserves the right to revise pricing due to fluctuations in material costs in the Dar es Salaam market.
- All prices are quoted in Tanzanian Shillings (TZS) and are inclusive of all applicable local taxes as mandated by the Tanzania Revenue Authority (TRA).
- The project duration is estimated at eight (8) calendar months from the date of the Notice to Proceed, subject to weather conditions and client approvals in Tanzania Dar es Salaam.
- Baker shall comply with all applicable Tanzanian labor laws, occupational health and safety regulations, and environmental standards enforced by NEMC and the Dar es Salaam Regional Commissioner's office.
- Any variation or change order to the scope of work must be agreed upon in writing by both parties before execution. Baker will issue a supplementary Quotation Estimate for any such variations.
- A performance bond of 10% of the total contract value, issued by a licensed Tanzanian bank, shall be provided by Baker upon contract signing.
- Disputes arising from this Quotation Estimate or the resulting contract shall be resolved through arbitration in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, in accordance with the Arbitration Act, Cap. 20 of the Laws of Tanzania.
- Baker Engineering & Construction Ltd shall maintain comprehensive third-party liability insurance and workers' compensation insurance for the entire duration of the project.
By signing below, the client acknowledges receipt of this Quotation Estimate and agrees to the terms, conditions, and pricing outlined herein. This acceptance shall serve as the basis for the formal contract between Baker Engineering & Construction Ltd and Mwalimu Housing Development Corp. for the execution of the described works in Tanzania Dar es Salaam.
