The Biologist assigned to this engagement will hold a minimum of a Master's degree in Ecology, Environmental Biology, or a closely related discipline from an accredited Canadian university. The lead Biologist will be a registered member in good standing with the British Columbia Society of Professional Biologists and will possess a valid Professional Practice Certificate issued under the Professional Engineers and Geoscientists Act of British Columbia, where applicable. All fieldwork conducted in the Canada Vancouver area will adhere to the highest ethical and scientific standards, including proper handling of protected species, minimal disturbance protocols, and full compliance with Indigenous land-use agreements relevant to the Coast Salish territories encompassing the Vancouver region.

Validity: This Quotation Estimate is valid for thirty (30) calendar days from the date of issue. After the expiry date, all rates and availability of the Biologist team are subject to re-evaluation.
Payment Terms: A deposit of 30% of the total estimated cost is due upon acceptance of this Quotation Estimate. The remaining 70% shall be invoiced in two equal monthly installments aligned with project milestones. All payments are due within thirty (30) days of invoice receipt.
Scope Changes: Any modifications to the scope of Biologist services beyond what is outlined in this document will require a written change order signed by both parties. Additional hours will be billed at the applicable unit rates specified in Section 2.
Regulatory Compliance: All ecological surveys and assessments performed by the Biologist in the Canada Vancouver area will comply with current federal and provincial legislation, including but not limited to the Canadian Environmental Protection Act (CEPA), the BC Environmental Assessment Act, and Vancouver Municipal Code Chapter 25100 (Environmental Protection).
Confidentiality: All data, reports, and findings generated by the Biologist during the course of this engagement shall remain the confidential property of the client unless otherwise agreed in writing.
Insurance: Coastal Environmental Sciences Ltd. maintains comprehensive professional liability insurance with a minimum coverage of $5,000,000 CAD, valid throughout the Canada Vancouver region and the Province of British Columbia.
Dispute Resolution: Any disputes arising from this Quotation Estimate or the subsequent Service Agreement shall be resolved through mediation in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, in accordance with the rules of the British Columbia Dispute Resolution Centre.
Force Majeure: Neither party shall be liable for delays or failures in performance caused by events beyond reasonable control, including but not limited to severe weather events common to the Vancouver coastal climate, government-mandated closures, or public health emergencies.
