The Biologist engagement in France Lyon is expected to span a period of approximately fourteen (14) calendar weeks, commencing on 1 September 2025 and concluding by 28 November 2025. The fieldwork phase will be scheduled to align with optimal biological sampling windows, particularly for macroinvertebrate surveys and avian breeding season documentation. All deliverables will be submitted to the client in both French and English to ensure full regulatory compliance within the France Lyon administrative framework.
4.1 Validity: This Quotation Estimate is valid for a period of ninety (90) days from the date of issue. After this period, all rates and conditions may be subject to revision due to market fluctuations, regulatory changes, or availability of the Biologist.
4.2 Payment Terms: Payment shall be made in three installments: 30% upon acceptance of this Quotation Estimate, 40% upon completion of the fieldwork phase, and 30% upon delivery of the final report. All payments are due within thirty (30) days of invoice date via bank transfer to the account of Lyonnaise Biologie & Sciences SARL, Lyon, France.
4.3 Cancellation: In the event of cancellation by the client, a fee of 25% of the total Quotation Estimate value shall be applied if cancellation occurs within the first two weeks of the project. Cancellations after fieldwork has commenced will be subject to a 50% fee.
4.4 Intellectual Property: All data, reports, and species inventories produced by the Biologist under this engagement shall become the property of the client upon full payment. The Biologist retains the right to use anonymized data for academic publication with prior written consent.
4.5 Regulatory Compliance: All activities conducted by the Biologist in France Lyon shall comply with the French Environmental Code, EU Habitats Directive (92/43/EEC), EU Birds Directive (2009/147/EC), and all applicable Métropole de Lyon municipal regulations.
4.6 Force Majeure: Neither party shall be liable for delays or non-performance resulting from events beyond reasonable control, including but not limited to severe weather conditions affecting fieldwork in the France Lyon region, public health emergencies, or government-mandated restrictions.
4.7 Dispute Resolution: Any disputes arising from this Quotation Estimate shall be resolved through amicable negotiation. Failing resolution within thirty (30) days, the matter shall be submitted to the competent courts of Lyon, France.
