The Biologist providing services under this Quotation Estimate holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Ecology from the University of Auckland, a Master of Science in Biological Sciences from Victoria University of Wellington, and is a registered member of the New Zealand Ecological Society and the Royal Society Te Apārangi. The Biologist has over fifteen years of professional experience conducting ecological assessments specifically within the New Zealand Auckland region, including work on the Waitematā Harbour foreshore, the Waitākere Ranges, and the Hauraki Gulf Islands. All biological survey methodologies employed will adhere to the New Zealand Ecological Society's Code of Practice and the Auckland Council's Ecological Assessment Guidelines for the New Zealand Auckland urban and rural zones.
4.1 This Quotation Estimate is valid for a period of ninety (90) days from the date of issue. After this period, the Biologist reserves the right to revise rates due to changes in operational costs within New Zealand Auckland.
4.2 Payment terms: 30% deposit upon acceptance of this Quotation Estimate, 40% upon completion of fieldwork, and 30% upon delivery of the final Ecological Impact Assessment Report. All payments are due within fourteen (14) days of invoice date in accordance with New Zealand commercial practice.
4.3 The Biologist shall not be liable for delays caused by adverse weather conditions, restricted site access, or regulatory hold-ups imposed by the Auckland Council or other New Zealand governmental authorities.
4.4 All biological data collected by the Biologist during the course of this engagement in New Zealand Auckland shall remain the intellectual property of the client, subject to the Biologist's right to use anonymised data for peer-reviewed scientific publication.
4.5 This Quotation Estimate is governed by the laws of New Zealand. Any disputes arising from this Quotation Estimate shall be resolved through the Disputes Tribunal in Auckland, New Zealand, or by mediation in accordance with the New Zealand Disputes Tribunal Act 2012.
4.6 The Biologist shall maintain professional indemnity insurance of no less than NZD $5,000,000 for the duration of the engagement in New Zealand Auckland.
