1. Introduction and Purpose of This Quotation EstimateThis Quotation Estimate is formally submitted by East African Biological Consulting Services Ltd. to the Ministry of Health, Republic of Uganda, for the professional engagement of a qualified Biologist to deliver comprehensive ecological and environmental assessment services in and around Uganda Kampala. 2. Scope of Work – Biologist Services in Uganda KampalaThe engaged Biologist shall perform the following duties and deliverables within the Kampala region and its immediate environs:
- Ecological Baseline Survey: Conduct a comprehensive biodiversity assessment of wetland areas along the Nakivubo Channel and the Kampala River system, documenting flora and fauna species present, population densities, and habitat conditions.
- Water Quality Biological Monitoring: Perform bioindication sampling at no fewer than fifteen (15) designated monitoring stations across the Kampala metropolitan area to assess aquatic ecosystem health using macroinvertebrate and algal indices.
- Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) Support: Provide biological expertise and data interpretation for ongoing and proposed infrastructure development projects within Uganda Kampala, in compliance with the National Environment Management Authority (NEMA) regulations.
- Conservation Planning: Develop a three-year biodiversity conservation and management plan for the Kampala Botanical Gardens and the adjacent wetland buffer zones, incorporating species-specific management recommendations.
- Training and Capacity Building: Deliver a minimum of four (4) half-day training workshops for local government environmental officers on field sampling techniques, species identification, and data management protocols relevant to the Kampala region.
- Reporting and Advisory: Submit monthly progress reports and a final comprehensive technical report, and provide ongoing advisory support to the Ministry of Health on biological and ecological matters affecting public health in Uganda Kampala.

4. Terms and Conditions of This Quotation Estimate- This Quotation Estimate is valid for thirty (30) calendar days from the date of issue. Beyond this period, pricing may be subject to revision based on market conditions in Uganda Kampala.
- Payment shall be made in three (3) equal installments: 40% upon contract signing, 30% upon completion of the mid-term deliverables, and 30% upon final report submission and acceptance.
- The Biologist and all supporting personnel shall comply with all applicable laws of the Republic of Uganda, including the National Environment Management Act (Cap 167) and the Wildlife Act (Cap 201).
- All data, reports, and intellectual property generated under this engagement shall become the property of the Ministry of Health upon full payment.
- Either party may terminate this agreement with thirty (30) days written notice. In the event of early termination, the client shall be liable for all costs incurred up to the date of termination.
- Any disputes arising from this Quotation Estimate or the subsequent contract shall be resolved through mediation in Kampala, Uganda, in accordance with the Arbitration Act of Uganda.
- The Biologist shall maintain professional indemnity insurance with a minimum cover of UGX 50,000,000 throughout the duration of the engagement.
