This Quotation Estimate is issued by Manchester Environmental & Scientific Consultancy Ltd. to provide a comprehensive and itemised financial proposal for the engagement of a qualified Biologist and associated scientific support services. The scope of work described herein pertains to ecological impact assessments, biodiversity surveys, and environmental monitoring to be conducted across designated sites within United Kingdom Manchester and the surrounding Greater Manchester metropolitan area. This document constitutes a formal Quotation Estimate and does not represent a binding contract until countersigned by both parties.
The Biologist engaged under this Quotation Estimate shall hold a minimum of a Master's degree in Biological Sciences, Ecology, or a closely related discipline, and shall be a registered member of the Chartered Institute of Ecology and Environmental Management (CIEEM). The Biologist will operate in full compliance with all applicable legislation within the United Kingdom, including the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981, the Conservation of Habitats and Species Regulations 2017, and the Town and Country Planning (Environmental Impact Assessment) Regulations 2017, as applicable to the Manchester region.
The primary deliverables from the Biologist include, but are not limited to: desktop ecological research and baseline data compilation; field surveys for protected and priority species; habitat mapping and classification; ecological impact assessment reports; mitigation strategy development; and post-construction monitoring programmes. All fieldwork will be conducted in accordance with the British Ecological Society's code of practice and the specific planning requirements of Manchester City Council and the relevant local planning authorities within United Kingdom Manchester.

4.1 This Quotation Estimate is valid for a period of ninety (90) calendar days from the date of issue. Should the client wish to proceed after the expiry date, a revised Quotation Estimate will be required to reflect any changes in the Biologist's availability, market rates, or legislative requirements applicable to United Kingdom Manchester.
4.2 All rates quoted are exclusive of Value Added Tax (VAT) at the current United Kingdom rate of 20%, which is added separately as shown in the cost breakdown above. The Biologist and all supporting personnel shall be employed under standard United Kingdom employment legislation, and all statutory deductions, including National Insurance and pension contributions, are included within the hourly rates stated.
4.3 Payment terms: 30% of the total Quotation Estimate value is due upon acceptance and execution of the contract. The remaining 70% shall be invoiced in monthly instalments aligned with the project milestones outlined in the attached Statement of Work. Payment is due within thirty (30) days of the invoice date. Late payments shall attract interest at a rate of 4% per annum above the Bank of England base rate, in accordance with the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998.
4.4 The Biologist shall maintain professional indemnity insurance with a minimum cover of £5,000,000 and public liability insurance of £10,000,000 throughout the duration of the engagement. Certificates of insurance shall be provided to the client upon request.
4.5 All ecological data, survey reports, and deliverables produced by the Biologist under this Quotation Estimate shall become the intellectual property of the client upon full payment. The Biologist retains the right to use anonymised data for academic publication, subject to prior written consent from the client.
4.6 Any variation to the scope of work, including additional Biologist hours, extended fieldwork seasons, or additional survey sites within United Kingdom Manchester, shall be subject to a written variation order and a supplementary Quotation Estimate prior to commencement of the additional work.
4.7 This Quotation Estimate is governed by and shall be construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from or in connection with this Quotation Estimate shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Manchester, United Kingdom.
Important Note: This Quotation Estimate assumes standard working conditions and access to all designated sites within United Kingdom Manchester. Should access be restricted, weather conditions necessitate rescheduling of fieldwork, or additional protected species are identified requiring specialist Biologist input beyond the scope described, a revised Quotation Estimate will be issued within five (5) working days. The client is advised to confirm site access arrangements in writing prior to the commencement of fieldwork.By signing below, the client acknowledges receipt of this Quotation Estimate and agrees to the terms and conditions set out herein for the engagement of the Biologist and associated services in United Kingdom Manchester. This signature constitutes formal acceptance of the Quotation Estimate and authorises Manchester Environmental & Scientific Consultancy Ltd. to proceed with the mobilisation of the Biologist team.
