The Biomedical Engineer assigned under this Quotation Estimate shall hold a minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Engineering or a closely related field from a recognized Ethiopian or internationally accredited university. The candidate must possess a valid professional license issued by the Ethiopian Engineers Order and a minimum of five (5) years of hands-on experience in hospital biomedical equipment management. Prior experience working in tertiary hospitals within Ethiopia Addis Ababa or comparable East African healthcare settings is strongly preferred. Fluency in Amharic and English is mandatory, and working knowledge of Oromo is considered an asset for effective communication with local technical staff.
4.1 Validity: This Quotation Estimate is valid for thirty (30) calendar days from the date of issue. Beyond this period, all prices are subject to revision due to currency fluctuation, import duty changes, or market conditions in Ethiopia Addis Ababa.
4.2 Payment Terms: Payment shall be made in monthly installments within fifteen (15) business days of invoice submission. A 10% advance payment is required upon contract signing to initiate recruitment and mobilization of the Biomedical Engineer.
4.3 Taxes: All amounts stated in this Quotation Estimate are inclusive of Value Added Tax (VAT) at the prevailing Ethiopian rate of 15%. Withholding tax of 2% shall be deducted at source as per Ethiopian tax regulations.
4.4 Termination: Either party may terminate the engagement with a written notice of sixty (60) days. In the event of early termination, all costs incurred up to the termination date, including non-refundable procurement commitments for spare parts, shall be settled in full.
4.5 Intellectual Property: All maintenance logs, calibration records, training materials, and assessment reports produced by the Biomedical Engineer during the contract period shall become the property of the client institution in Ethiopia Addis Ababa.
