This Quotation Estimate is formally issued by MediTech Solutions (Pvt) Ltd. to the National Hospital of Sri Lanka, Biomedical Engineering Division, located in Sri Lanka Colombo. The purpose of this document is to provide a comprehensive, itemized financial proposal for the professional engagement of a qualified Biomedical Engineer to oversee, maintain, calibrate, and ensure regulatory compliance of all medical and diagnostic equipment within the hospital premises. This Quotation Estimate reflects current market rates applicable to Sri Lanka Colombo and is prepared in accordance with the standards set by the Sri Lanka Standards Institution (SLSI) and the Ministry of Health, Sri Lanka.
The Biomedical Engineer engaged under this Quotation Estimate shall perform the following duties and responsibilities within the Sri Lanka Colombo hospital campus:
- Preventive Maintenance Program: Design, implement, and execute a scheduled preventive maintenance plan for all biomedical equipment including MRI scanners, CT machines, ultrasound systems, patient monitors, ventilators, defibrillators, and surgical instruments. The Biomedical Engineer shall conduct monthly inspections and quarterly deep-service interventions.
- Calibration and Quality Assurance: Perform precise calibration of all diagnostic and therapeutic devices in strict compliance with IEC 62353 and IEC 60601 standards. The Biomedical Engineer shall maintain calibration records and issue certificates of conformity for each device serviced.
- Regulatory Compliance and Auditing: Ensure all medical equipment meets the regulatory requirements mandated by the Sri Lanka Standards Institution and the Ministry of Health. The Biomedical Engineer shall prepare annual compliance reports and coordinate with external auditors as required in Sri Lanka Colombo.
- Breakdown Response and Repair: Provide a guaranteed response time of no more than four (4) hours for critical equipment failures and twenty-four (24) hours for non-critical faults. The Biomedical Engineer shall maintain an inventory of spare parts and consumables on-site.
- Training and Knowledge Transfer: Conduct quarterly training sessions for hospital nursing and technical staff on the proper operation, basic troubleshooting, and safety protocols of biomedical equipment. The Biomedical Engineer shall develop and update standard operating procedures (SOPs) for all devices.
- Equipment Lifecycle Management: Advise the hospital administration on the procurement, installation, commissioning, and eventual decommissioning of new biomedical equipment. The Biomedical Engineer shall prepare cost-benefit analyses for equipment replacement decisions.

4.1 This Quotation Estimate is valid for a period of thirty (30) calendar days from the date of issue. Beyond this period, MediTech Solutions (Pvt) Ltd. reserves the right to revise the pricing due to market fluctuations in Sri Lanka Colombo.
4.2 Payment shall be made in monthly installments within fourteen (14) days of invoice issuance. A 10% advance payment is required prior to the commencement of services.
4.3 The Biomedical Engineer assigned to this contract shall hold a minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Engineering from a recognized institution and a minimum of five (5) years of professional experience in hospital equipment management.
4.4 All work performed by the Biomedical Engineer shall be conducted in full compliance with the Sri Lankan Occupational Safety and Health Act, the Medical Devices Act, and all applicable regulations of the Ministry of Health, Sri Lanka Colombo.
4.5 Any additional services or equipment repairs not covered under this Quotation Estimate shall be subject to a separate written approval and additional cost quotation.
4.6 This contract may be terminated by either party with a written notice of thirty (30) days. In the event of termination, all completed services shall be invoiced and settled in full.
4.7 Disputes arising from this Quotation Estimate and the subsequent service agreement shall be resolved through arbitration in Sri Lanka Colombo in accordance with the Arbitration Act of Sri Lanka.
