The Biomedical Engineer engaged under this Quotation Estimate shall perform the following duties and responsibilities within the Zimbabwe Harare healthcare facility:
- Preventive and corrective maintenance of all diagnostic imaging equipment, including X-ray units, ultrasound machines, CT scanners, and MRI systems installed at the facility.
- Calibration and quality assurance testing of laboratory analyzers, blood gas monitors, ECG machines, patient monitors, and ventilators in compliance with ISO 13485 standards.
- Installation, commissioning, and integration of newly procured biomedical devices and medical technology systems.
- Development and implementation of a comprehensive biomedical equipment maintenance schedule and asset management database for the hospital.
- Training of hospital technical staff on safe operation, basic troubleshooting, and first-line maintenance of biomedical equipment.
- Preparation of monthly and quarterly technical reports detailing equipment status, fault logs, repair actions, and recommendations for capital replacement.

In accordance with the terms of this Quotation Estimate, payment shall be structured as follows:
- Advance Payment (50%): USD 56,781.25 (ZWL 1,618,265.63) due within fourteen (14) calendar days of contract signature, prior to the commencement of services by the Biomedical Engineer team.
- Completion Payment (50%): USD 56,781.25 (ZWL 1,618,265.63) due within thirty (30) days of the successful completion of the twelve-month service period and submission of the final technical report.
- All payments shall be made via bank transfer to the account of MedTech Solutions Zimbabwe (Pvt) Ltd at CBZ Bank, Harare Branch, Zimbabwe. Reference: QTE-2025-00847.
5.1 This Quotation Estimate is valid for thirty (30) days from the date of issue. After this period, all prices are subject to revision based on prevailing exchange rates in Zimbabwe Harare and any changes in statutory tax obligations.
5.2 The Biomedical Engineer and associated technical staff shall be bound by strict confidentiality agreements regarding patient data, hospital operational procedures, and proprietary equipment configurations in full compliance with the Zimbabwe Data Protection Act (Chapter 11:12).
5.3 Any additional services, emergency repairs, or equipment installations not explicitly listed in this Quotation Estimate shall be subject to a separate written amendment and additional cost approval by both parties.
5.4 The service provider warrants that the Biomedical Engineer assigned to this contract holds a minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Engineering, is registered with the Engineering Institution of Zimbabwe (EIZ), and possesses a valid professional practice certificate.
5.5 Disputes arising from this engagement shall be resolved through mediation in Zimbabwe Harare in accordance with the Arbitration Act of Zimbabwe. If mediation fails, the matter shall be referred to the High Court of Zimbabwe, Harare.
5.6 The client reserves the right to terminate this contract with thirty (30) days' written notice. In such an event, payment shall be made pro-rata for services rendered up to the termination date.
5.7 All work performed by the Biomedical Engineer team shall adhere to the safety and quality standards prescribed by the Ministry of Health and Child Care, Zimbabwe, and applicable international biomedical engineering standards.
