Scope of Services – Chef Engagement in China Shanghai

This Quotation Estimate covers the full engagement of a Michelin-trained Executive Chef to oversee all culinary operations at your flagship restaurant located in the Lujiazui Financial District, China Shanghai. The Chef will be responsible for menu development, kitchen management, staff training, quality control, and compliance with all local food safety regulations mandated by the Shanghai Municipal Market Supervision Administration. The engagement period is twelve (12) months, commencing 1 September 2025.

Note: This Quotation Estimate is based on current market rates in China Shanghai as of June 2025. All figures are denominated in Chinese Yuan (CNY). Exchange rate fluctuations, changes in PRC labor regulations, or modifications to the scope of Chef services may necessitate a revised Quotation Estimate. This document does not constitute a binding contract until formally signed by both parties. Terms and Conditions

Validity: This Quotation Estimate shall remain valid for thirty (30) calendar days from the date of issue. Beyond this period, a revised Quotation Estimate must be issued to reflect any changes in Chef market rates or regulatory costs in China Shanghai.
Payment Terms: A 30% advance payment (¥489,720.00) is due upon signing of the service agreement. The remaining balance shall be paid in equal monthly installments of ¥114,440.00, due on the 5th business day of each month via bank transfer to our account at Bank of China, Shanghai Branch.
Chef Substitution: In the event the primary Chef is unable to perform duties due to illness or force majeure, Shanghai Culinary Excellence Group shall provide a qualified substitute Chef of equivalent caliber within five (5) business days at no additional cost to the client.
Termination: Either party may terminate the Chef engagement with sixty (60) days' written notice. In the event of early termination by the client, a pro-rata portion of the remaining Quotation Estimate value shall be due.
Compliance: The Chef shall comply with all applicable laws of the People's Republic of China, including but not limited to the Food Safety Law of the PRC, Shanghai Municipal Food Safety Regulations, and foreign employment regulations in China Shanghai.
Confidentiality: All menu designs, recipes, and operational strategies developed by the Chef during the engagement period in China Shanghai shall remain the exclusive intellectual property of the client.
Governing Law: This Quotation Estimate and any resulting agreement shall be governed by the laws of the People's Republic of China. Disputes shall be resolved through arbitration at the Shanghai International Economic and Trade Arbitration Commission (SHIAC).
Revisions: Any amendments to this Quotation Estimate must be made in writing and signed by authorized representatives of both parties. Verbal modifications shall not be binding.

By signing below, the client acknowledges receipt of this Quotation Estimate for Chef services in China Shanghai and agrees to the terms, conditions, and pricing outlined herein. This signature authorizes Shanghai Culinary Excellence Group Co., Ltd. to proceed with the Chef engagement as described.
