This Quotation Estimate is issued by the undersigned Civil Engineer in connection with the proposed residential and commercial development project located in the Lekki corridor, Nigeria Lagos. The following document outlines the scope of professional engineering services, itemized cost breakdown, project timeline, and applicable terms governing the engagement. All rates are quoted in Nigerian Naira (NGN) and are subject to the conditions stated herein.

The client has engaged this Civil Engineer to provide comprehensive structural design, geotechnical assessment, and construction supervision services for a mixed-use development comprising a six-storey residential building with a two-storey commercial podium. The site is situated along Admiralty Way, Lekki Phase 1, Nigeria Lagos, with a total plot area of 1,200 square metres. The Quotation Estimate below reflects all professional fees, site visits, and deliverables required to bring the project from conceptual design through to completion in full compliance with the Lagos State Building Control and Planning Laws (LASBCPL) 2018 and the Nigerian Building and Road Works Directorate (FBRWD) standards.

The Civil Engineer shall provide the following professional services as part of this Quotation Estimate:

The Quotation Estimate shall be paid in the following instalments to the Civil Engineer:

  • 30% (NGN 2,373,600) – Upon signing of the professional services agreement and commencement of design work.
  • 40% (NGN 3,164,800) – Upon submission and approval of all structural drawings and BOQ by the client.
  • 20% (NGN 1,582,400) – Mid-construction, after the 6th site supervision visit.
  • 10% (NGN 791,200) – Upon project completion, issuance of the Certificate of Completion, and handover of as-built documents.

The Civil Engineer estimates a total professional engagement period of approximately fourteen (14) weeks from the date of contract execution. The design phase is expected to span six weeks, while the construction supervision phase will span eight weeks, subject to the actual construction progress at the Nigeria Lagos site. Delays attributable to client decisions, regulatory hold-ups by Lagos State authorities, or adverse weather conditions typical of the Lagos rainy season (April to October) shall extend the timeline proportionally without additional professional fees.

  1. This Quotation Estimate is valid for a period of thirty (30) calendar days from the date of issue. Beyond this period, rates may be revised to reflect changes in the Nigerian economic environment, including fuel price adjustments and material cost inflation in Nigeria Lagos.
  2. All professional services rendered by the Civil Engineer shall comply with the Nigerian Code of Practice for the Design of Reinforced Concrete (Nigerian Institution of Engineers) and applicable Lagos State building regulations.
  3. The Civil Engineer shall not be held liable for structural failures arising from the client's or contractor's deviation from the approved design documents.
  4. Any variation in scope beyond the services listed in this Quotation Estimate shall be subject to a supplementary quotation and written approval by both parties.
  5. Confidentiality: All project data, site information, and design documents pertaining to this Nigeria Lagos development shall be treated as strictly confidential by the Civil Engineer and shall not be disclosed to third parties without written consent.
  6. Disputes arising from this engagement shall be resolved through arbitration in Lagos, Nigeria, in accordance with the Arbitration and Conciliation Act (Cap A18, LFN 2004).
  7. The Civil Engineer maintains professional indemnity insurance with a coverage of not less than NGN 50,000,000, valid throughout the duration of the project.
Note: This Quotation Estimate does not include the cost of construction materials, labour, or third-party testing fees (e.g., concrete cube testing, steel tensile testing). These costs shall be borne directly by the client or the main contractor. The Civil Engineer will, however, provide guidance and oversight for all such activities as part of the supervision scope.

By signing below, the client acknowledges receipt of this Quotation Estimate and agrees to the terms, conditions, and professional fees outlined herein for the Civil Engineer services to be rendered on the project in Nigeria Lagos.
