This Quotation Estimate has been prepared to provide a comprehensive and transparent breakdown of costs associated with the engagement of a licensed Customs Officer to manage, facilitate, and oversee all customs clearance, import/export documentation, and trade compliance activities for your organisation within Australia Brisbane. Payment for the services outlined in this Quotation Estimate shall be made in accordance with the following schedule:

  • Retainer Fees (Item 1): Payable monthly in advance on the 1st business day of each calendar month via direct bank transfer to the account nominated by Marine & Trade Compliance Solutions Pty Ltd.
  • Per-Shift & Per-Consignment Fees (Items 2–4): Invoiced fortnightly in arrears. Payment due within 14 calendar days of invoice date.
  • Advisory & Dispute Fees (Items 5–6): Invoiced upon completion of the relevant service. Payment due within 14 calendar days.
  • Annual Review (Item 7): Payable in a single lump sum upon engagement, or in two equal instalments (50% at commencement, 50% upon delivery of the final report).
  • Late payments will attract interest at the rate prescribed under the Interest on Late Payments of Tax Debts Act 1983 (Cth), calculated daily from the due date until payment is received in full.
  1. This Quotation Estimate is valid for a period of thirty (30) calendar days from the date of issue. Should the client wish to proceed after the expiry date, a revised Quotation Estimate reflecting any changes in market rates or regulatory requirements will be issued.
  2. The Customs Officer engaged under this arrangement holds a valid Customs Brokers Licence issued by the Australian Border Force and maintains professional indemnity insurance with a minimum cover of AUD 5,000,000 per occurrence.
  3. All services will be performed in strict compliance with the Customs Act 1901 (Cth), the Customs (Prohibited Imports) Regulations 1956, and all applicable Queensland state legislation relevant to trade and logistics operations in Australia Brisbane.
  4. The client agrees to provide all necessary commercial documentation, product specifications, and access to relevant systems in a timely manner to enable the Customs Officer to perform clearance activities without undue delay.
  5. Marine & Trade Compliance Solutions Pty Ltd shall not be liable for any penalties, demurrage, or storage charges incurred as a result of the client's failure to provide accurate or complete documentation prior to the lodgement of a customs declaration.
  6. This Quotation Estimate does not include any government-imposed duties, taxes, levies, or port/airport handling charges, which are the sole responsibility of the client.
  7. Either party may terminate the engagement with thirty (30) days' written notice. Upon termination, all fees accrued up to the date of termination shall remain payable.
  8. Governing law: The laws of the State of Queensland, Australia Brisbane jurisdiction. Any disputes shall be resolved by the courts of Queensland or by arbitration under the rules of the Queensland Small Claims Commission, as applicable.
