The Customs Officer engaged under this Quotation Estimate shall perform the following duties and responsibilities in full compliance with Brazilian federal and state regulations, including but not limited to the Lei Aduaneira (Law No. 10,833/2003), the Normative Instructions of the Receita Federal, and the operational protocols of the Porto do Rio de Janeiro:

• Preparation, review, and submission of all customs declarations (Declarações de Importação — DI, and Declarações de Exportação — DE) through the SISCOMEX electronic platform.
• Classification of goods under the NCM (Nomenclatura Comum do Mercosul) tariff schedule and determination of applicable import duties, ICMS, IPI, PIS/COFINS, and other levies.
• Coordination with the Brazilian Customs Authority (Receita Federal) at the Rio de Janeiro port terminal, including physical inspection scheduling, document verification, and resolution of any customs holds or seizures.
• Management of the full customs clearance lifecycle from arrival notification (Manifesto de Carga) through final release (Liberação da Carga) at the Port of Rio de Janeiro.
