  • Calculation and verification of import duties, Value Added Tax (VAT), Excise Duty, and any applicable levies including the African Union Levy, Development Levy, and Import Declaration Fee.
  • Coordination with Kenya Revenue Authority officers, Kenya Bureau of Standards (KEBS), and other regulatory bodies at the Nairobi port of entry.
  • Management of bonded warehouse operations and transshipment procedures within the Kenya Nairobi customs zone.
  • Advisory services on trade compliance, rules of origin, preferential tariff schemes (EAC Common External Tariff, AGOA, and EU-KE EPA), and duty drawback claims.
  • Monthly reporting and reconciliation of all customs transactions processed on behalf of the client.

  • This Quotation Estimate is valid for thirty (30) calendar days from the date of issue. Beyond this period, all rates are subject to revision based on prevailing market conditions in Kenya Nairobi.
  • Payment shall be made in Kenyan Shillings (KES) via bank transfer to the account of East African Trade Compliance Ltd., domiciled in Nairobi, Kenya.
  • The monthly retainer fee for the Customs Officer is payable in advance on the 1st of each calendar month. Per-entry and per-shipment fees are invoiced monthly with payment due within fourteen (14) days of invoice issuance.
  • A late payment penalty of 2% per month on outstanding balances shall apply after the due date, in accordance with Kenyan commercial law.
  • All fees quoted are exclusive of any government levies, port charges, or third-party costs that may be directly assessed by the Kenya Revenue Authority or other statutory bodies.
  • The Customs Officer assigned under this Quotation Estimate shall be a licensed customs agent registered with the Kenya Revenue Authority and shall maintain all professional indemnity insurance as required by Kenyan law.
  • The client agrees to provide all necessary commercial documents (invoices, packing lists, bills of lading, certificates of origin, and KEBS inspection certificates) in a timely manner to facilitate efficient customs clearance in Kenya Nairobi.
  • Either party may terminate this engagement with thirty (30) days' written notice. Upon termination, all fees for services rendered up to the termination date shall be due and payable.
  • East African Trade Compliance Ltd. shall maintain strict confidentiality of all client trade data, pricing information, and commercial documents in compliance with the Data Protection Act, 2019 of Kenya.
  • This Quotation Estimate does not constitute a binding contract until formally accepted in writing by both parties and countersigned below.
  • All disputes arising from this engagement shall be resolved through arbitration in Nairobi, Kenya, in accordance with the Arbitration Act, 1995 of Kenya.
