This Quotation Estimate covers a twelve-month engagement period and includes all professional fees, statutory contributions, and ancillary costs. All pricing is quoted in Sri Lankan Rupees (LKR) and is subject to the terms and conditions outlined in Section 6 of this document.

The Customs Officer engaged under this Quotation Estimate will perform the following duties on behalf of the client within the Colombo metropolitan area and its surrounding trade zones:

• Preparation, review, and submission of all customs declarations (SAD forms) through the CARGO-X system at the Colombo Port and Bandaranaike International Airport.
• Classification of goods under the Sri Lankan Customs Tariff and the Harmonized System (HS) nomenclature to ensure accurate duty and tax assessment.
• Liaison with the Department of Customs, Sri Lanka, including handling of queries, objections, and post-clearance audits at the Colombo Customs House.
• Compliance with the Foreign Exchange Act, the Customs Ordinance, and all relevant gazette notifications issued by the Ministry of Finance, Sri Lanka.
• Management of bonded warehouse documentation and transshipment procedures at Colombo Port.
• Coordination with freight forwarders, shipping lines, and the Sri Lanka Ports Authority for timely cargo clearance.
• Maintenance of statutory records and preparation of monthly customs compliance reports for the client's management.
• Advisory support on duty remission schemes, free trade agreements, and preferential tariff arrangements applicable to Sri Lanka Colombo-based trade operations.

Payment for this Quotation Estimate shall be made on a monthly basis, in advance, by bank transfer to the account of Meridian Trade Compliance Services (Pvt) Ltd, Commercial Bank, Colombo 02 Branch. The first payment is due within seven (7) working days of the acceptance of this Quotation Estimate. A 1.5% monthly late-payment surcharge will apply to any overdue invoices.

This Quotation Estimate is valid for thirty (30) calendar days from the date of issue. Upon written acceptance by the client, the engagement of the Customs Officer shall commence on the first day of the following calendar month. Any changes in scope, additional headcount, or extended service areas beyond the Colombo metropolitan region will be subject to a revised Quotation Estimate issued separately.

• The Customs Officer shall be bound by a strict code of confidentiality regarding all client trade data, commercial invoices, and customs declarations processed in Sri Lanka Colombo.
• Meridian Trade Compliance Services (Pvt) Ltd shall not be held liable for penalties, demurrage, or fines imposed by the Department of Customs, Sri Lanka, arising from inaccurate information provided by the client.
• The client agrees to provide all necessary commercial documents, bills of lading, packing lists, and certificates of origin in a timely manner to enable the Customs Officer to process declarations without delay.
• Either party may terminate this engagement with thirty (30) days' written notice. In the event of termination, a pro-rata refund of any prepaid fees for the unexpired period shall be issued within fourteen (14) days.
• All disputes arising from this Quotation Estimate shall be resolved through arbitration in Colombo, Sri Lanka, in accordance with the Arbitration Act of Sri Lanka.
• This Quotation Estimate does not constitute a guarantee of customs clearance timelines, as such timelines are subject to the operational discretion of the Department of Customs, Sri Lanka, and the Sri Lanka Ports Authority.
