- This Quotation Estimate is valid for a period of thirty (30) calendar days from the date of issue. Any engagement accepted after the expiry date of 15 July 2025 will be subject to re-quotation and potential rate adjustment.
- All rates quoted in this document are in British Pounds Sterling (GBP) and are exclusive of VAT unless explicitly stated otherwise. VAT at the prevailing rate of 20% will be applied to all services rendered within the United Kingdom Birmingham jurisdiction.
- The Customs Officer engaged under this agreement will be an employee of Meridian Trade Compliance Ltd. and will not be considered an employee or agent of the client for the purposes of employment law, tax, or social security obligations.
- Payment terms: 50% of the total estimated cost shall be due upon acceptance of this Quotation Estimate, and the remaining 50% shall be invoiced in equal monthly instalments over the twelve-month service period. All invoices are payable within thirty (30) days of the invoice date.
- The Customs Officer will operate in strict accordance with the UK Trade Tariff, the Customs and Excise Management Act 1979, the Trade (Tariff and Other Adjustment) (EU Exit) Act 2020, and all guidance issued by HMRC for the United Kingdom Birmingham customs district.
- Any additional services beyond the scope defined in Section 2 of this Quotation Estimate will be subject to a separate written amendment and additional charges at the standard hourly rate of £65.00 per hour (plus VAT).
- Meridian Trade Compliance Ltd. maintains professional indemnity insurance of not less than £5,000,000 and public liability insurance of not less than £10,000,000. Certificates of insurance will be provided upon request.
- This Quotation Estimate does not constitute a binding contract until both parties have executed the formal Service Agreement document, which will incorporate the terms set out herein.
- The client agrees to provide the Customs Officer with reasonable access to all relevant trade documentation, shipping records, and facility areas necessary to perform customs clearance duties at the Birmingham site.
- Either party may terminate the engagement with a minimum of sixty (60) days' written notice. In the event of early termination, the client shall be liable for all costs incurred up to the date of termination plus a pro-rata portion of the annual fee.
By signing below, the client acknowledges and accepts this Quotation Estimate for the engagement of a Customs Officer to provide customs clearance and trade compliance services within the United Kingdom Birmingham region, in accordance with the terms, conditions, and cost structure set out in this document.
