Scope of Work – Data Scientist Engagement

This Quotation Estimate is issued by Alpine Analytics Solutions GmbH in response to the formal request from Bavarian Industrial Technologies AG for the provision of a senior Data Scientist to support the client's advanced analytics and machine learning initiatives. The engagement is to be carried out primarily at the client's headquarters in Germany Munich, with a hybrid working arrangement permitting up to two remote working days per week.

The Data Scientist will be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying predictive models, natural language processing pipelines, and statistical analysis frameworks tailored to the client's manufacturing and supply-chain operations. The role demands deep expertise in Python, R, TensorFlow, PyTorch, SQL, and cloud-based data infrastructure (AWS/Azure). The candidate will collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, operations, and executive teams based in Munich to translate complex data challenges into actionable business intelligence.

Terms & Conditions

1. Validity: This Quotation Estimate is valid for thirty (30) calendar days from the date of issue. After the expiry date, pricing and availability of the Data Scientist may be subject to revision.

2. Payment Terms: Invoices are issued monthly in arrears. Payment is due within thirty (30) days of invoice date via bank transfer to the account of Alpine Analytics Solutions GmbH, IBAN: DE89 3704 0044 0532 0130 00, BIC: COBADEFFXXX, located in Munich, Germany.

3. Working Location: The Data Scientist will be based at the client's premises in Germany Munich (Leopoldstraße 118) for a minimum of three (3) days per week. Remote work from a registered address within the Munich metropolitan area is permitted for the remaining days.

4. Intellectual Property: All models, code, documentation, and analytical artefacts produced during the engagement shall become the exclusive property of Bavarian Industrial Technologies AG upon full payment of the corresponding invoice.

5. Confidentiality: Both parties agree to maintain strict confidentiality in accordance with the German Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG) and the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). A separate Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) will be executed prior to commencement.

6. Termination: Either party may terminate the engagement with a written notice period of sixty (60) days. In the event of early termination, all services rendered up to the termination date shall be invoiced in full.

7. Liability: The total liability of Alpine Analytics Solutions GmbH under this Quotation Estimate shall not exceed the total contract value of €222,292.00 (incl. VAT).

8. Governing Law: This agreement is governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Germany. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts in Munich, Germany.

Note: This Quotation Estimate does not constitute a binding contract. A formal service agreement will be drafted and executed by both parties upon written acceptance of this estimate. All figures are quoted in Euro (EUR) and are subject to the applicable German value-added tax (Mehrwertsteuer) at the standard rate of 19%.
