The Economist will be deployed to operate primarily from the Malaysia Kuala Lumpur business district, with the capacity to conduct on-site assessments, stakeholder meetings, and field research across the Klang Valley, Penang, Johor, and other key economic corridors within Malaysia as required by the project scope.

1. This Quotation Estimate is valid for a period of thirty (30) calendar days from the date of issue. Upon expiry, all rates and terms herein shall be subject to revision based on prevailing market conditions in Malaysia Kuala Lumpur.
2. The Economist engaged under this Quotation Estimate shall be bound by a strict Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) and shall not disclose any proprietary economic data, client strategies, or confidential findings to any third party without prior written consent from the Client.
3. Payment terms: 30% advance payment upon acceptance of this Quotation Estimate; 40% upon completion of the Regional Economic Development Study; 30% upon final delivery of all remaining deliverables. All payments shall be made in Malaysian Ringgit (MYR) via bank transfer to the account designated by Meridian Economic Advisory Sdn. Bhd.
4. The Economist shall dedicate a minimum of 40 hours per week to the Client's engagement. Any additional hours beyond the agreed retainer shall be billed at a rate of MYR 1,125.00 per hour, subject to prior written approval by the Client.
5. All deliverables, reports, and analyses produced by the Economist under this Quotation Estimate shall become the exclusive intellectual property of the Client upon full and final payment.
6. This Quotation Estimate does not constitute a binding contract until a formal Service Agreement is executed by both parties. The terms herein serve solely as a cost estimate and scope outline for the Economist engagement in Malaysia Kuala Lumpur.
7. Force Majeure: Neither party shall be liable for delays or failures in performance resulting from events beyond reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, government-imposed restrictions, or pandemics affecting operations in Malaysia Kuala Lumpur.
8. Disputes arising from this Quotation Estimate or the subsequent engagement shall be resolved through mediation in Malaysia Kuala Lumpur, and if unresolved, through arbitration under the rules of the Asian International Arbitration Centre (AIAC) in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
9. The Economist shall comply with all applicable Malaysian laws, including the Personal Data Protection Act 2010 (PDPA), the Companies Act 2016, and any relevant regulations issued by Bank Negara Malaysia or the Malaysian Economic Planning Unit.
