Scope of Editor Services

The Editor will be responsible for all stages of the editorial workflow, including but not limited to: developmental editing, structural review, copyediting, proofreading, Arabic-English bilingual consistency checks, style guide compliance (Kuwaiti Press Standards), and final pre-publication quality assurance. The Editor will work on-site at the Kuwait National Media Authority premises in Kuwait City for a minimum of three days per week, with remote availability for additional review cycles.

Terms & Conditions of This Quotation Estimate

This Quotation Estimate is valid for a period of thirty (30) calendar days from the date of issue. Beyond this period, the Editor service rates and availability may be subject to revision.
Payment terms: 40% advance upon acceptance of this Quotation Estimate, 35% upon completion of the primary editorial phase (end of Week 5), and the remaining 25% upon final delivery and client sign-off in Kuwait City.
All Editor services will be performed by qualified professionals residing and working in Kuwait, Kuwait City. The Editor will comply with all Kuwaiti labor regulations, data protection standards, and the National Media Authority's confidentiality protocols.
The Editor will maintain strict confidentiality regarding all documents, drafts, and internal communications handled during the engagement. A Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) will be executed prior to the commencement of work.
Revisions: The Quotation Estimate includes two (2) full revision cycles for each editorial stage. Additional revision requests beyond the included cycles will be billed at the Editor's standard hourly rate of KWD 45.00 per hour.
Deliverables will be provided in both print-ready PDF format and editable Microsoft Word / InDesign files, as specified by the client's production team in Kuwait City.
This Quotation Estimate does not include graphic design, typesetting, printing, or web development costs. These services may be quoted separately upon request.
Force Majeure: The Editor and Al-Salem Publishing & Editorial House shall not be liable for delays caused by events beyond reasonable control, including but not limited to government-mandated closures in Kuwait or Kuwait City.
Disputes arising from this Quotation Estimate shall be governed by the laws of the State of Kuwait and resolved through the competent courts in Kuwait City.

By signing below, the client acknowledges and accepts the terms, conditions, and pricing outlined in this Quotation Estimate for the engagement of the Editor services described herein. Upon written acceptance, the Editor team will be formally assigned and the project timeline will commence within five (5) business days.
