All editorial work delivered under this Quotation Estimate will be performed by a senior Editor with a minimum of twelve (12) years of professional experience in academic, commercial, and creative publishing. The Editor will be a resident of Auckland, New Zealand, and will conduct all in-person consultations at our Victoria Street West office or at the client's premises within the Auckland metropolitan area.
Quality assurance is embedded at every stage of the editorial process. Following the initial developmental edit, a secondary review by a second qualified editor is conducted to ensure objectivity and consistency. All changes are tracked using Microsoft Word's Track Changes function, and a comprehensive editorial report summarising key interventions, style decisions, and recommendations is provided to the client upon completion of each editing phase.
- This Quotation Estimate is valid for thirty (30) calendar days from the date of issue. Pricing is subject to review upon expiry.
- All prices are quoted in New Zealand Dollars (NZD) and include 15% GST as per New Zealand tax legislation administered by the Inland Revenue Department (IRD).
- Payment terms: 30% deposit upon acceptance of this Quotation Estimate; 40% upon completion of the copyediting phase; 30% upon final delivery of the proofread document and editorial report.
- Invoices are payable within fourteen (14) days of issue. Late payments may incur interest at the rate prescribed under the New Zealand Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 2002.
- The Editor reserves the right to decline or withdraw from the engagement if the material contains content that is unlawful, defamatory, or in breach of New Zealand law.
- All client materials are treated as confidential. A Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) may be executed prior to the commencement of work.
- Revisions beyond the agreed scope (e.g., additional word counts, extra editing passes) will be quoted separately at the rates specified in Section 2.
- This Quotation Estimate does not constitute a binding contract until countersigned by both parties and the deposit is received.
- Disputes arising from this engagement shall be resolved in accordance with the laws of New Zealand, with jurisdiction in the District Court of Auckland.
