2. Scope of Editorial ServicesThe Editor engaged under this Quotation Estimate will provide a full spectrum of professional editorial services tailored to the client's specific requirements. The scope encompasses the following deliverables, all to be executed by a qualified and experienced Editor based in or operating out of New Zealand Wellington:

The Editor will commence work within five (5) business days of written acceptance of this Quotation Estimate. The anticipated project duration is twelve (12) weeks from commencement, with key milestones as follows: Developmental Editing (Weeks 1–3), Line Editing (Weeks 4–6), Copy Editing (Weeks 7–9), Style Guide Finalisation (Week 10), and Final Proofread & Delivery (Weeks 11–12). All deliverables will be provided in Microsoft Word (.docx) and PDF formats. The Editor will operate from the Pacific Rim Editorial Group office in Te Aro, Wellington, and will be available for in-person meetings in New Zealand Wellington at mutually agreed times.
5. Terms and Conditions- Payment Terms: A deposit of 40% ($3,882.40) is due upon acceptance of this Quotation Estimate. The remaining 60% ($5,823.60) is payable within fourteen (14) days of final delivery of all editorial deliverables. Payment is to be made via bank transfer to the account details provided in the accompanying invoice.
- Revisions: This Quotation Estimate includes one (1) round of revisions per editing stage. Additional revision rounds will be billed at $150.00 per hour, subject to prior written approval.
- Confidentiality: The Editor and Pacific Rim Editorial Group Ltd agree to maintain strict confidentiality regarding all materials, content, and proprietary information shared during the course of this engagement. A separate Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) may be executed upon request.
- Intellectual Property: Upon full and final payment, all editorial deliverables and the associated style guide shall become the sole property of the client. The Editor retains the right to reference the engagement in a professional portfolio, subject to the client's written consent.
- Cancellation: Should the client wish to cancel this engagement, a cancellation fee of 25% of the total Quotation Estimate value applies if cancellation occurs after work has commenced. No cancellation fee applies if cancellation is received before the Editor has begun any editorial work.
- Governing Law: This Quotation Estimate and any resulting contract shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of New Zealand. Any disputes shall be resolved through the Disputes Tribunal or the District Court of Wellington, New Zealand.
- Force Majeure: Neither party shall be liable for delays or failures in performance resulting from circumstances beyond their reasonable control, including but not limited to natural events affecting the New Zealand Wellington region, government-mandated closures, or systemic technical failures.
