1. Introduction and Purpose of This Quotation Estimate

This Quotation Estimate is issued by GreenScape Environmental Consultants Ltd. in response to the request for professional Environmental Engineer services to be delivered within the Uganda Kampala metropolitan area. The purpose of this document is to provide a comprehensive, itemized breakdown of costs associated with the environmental impact assessment, compliance auditing, and remediation planning services that our licensed Environmental Engineer team will undertake on behalf of the Kampala Capital City Authority. All pricing in this Quotation Estimate reflects current market rates for environmental consulting in Uganda Kampala as of June 2025 and is subject to the terms and conditions outlined herein.

2. Scope of Work — Environmental Engineer Services

The Environmental Engineer services covered under this Quotation Estimate include, but are not limited to, the following deliverables to be executed in Uganda Kampala:

• Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA): A full-scope EIA for the proposed Ntinda Industrial Expansion Zone, conducted in accordance with the National Environment Management Act (Cap 153) and the guidelines issued by the National Environment Management Authority (NEMA) of Uganda. The Environmental Engineer will prepare the Terms of Reference, conduct baseline surveys, model air and water quality dispersion, and produce the final EIA report for NEMA review.
• Compliance Auditing: Quarterly environmental compliance audits of 12 existing industrial facilities within the Kampala industrial corridor. The Environmental Engineer will verify adherence to effluent discharge standards (Uganda National Environment (Wastewater Discharge) Regulations, 2008), noise limits, and solid waste management protocols.
• Remediation Planning: Development of a site-specific remediation plan for the contaminated Ntinda drainage channel, including soil and groundwater sampling, contaminant identification, and a 5-year phased remediation schedule.

4. Terms and Conditions

• This Quotation Estimate is valid for thirty (30) calendar days from the date of issue. After the expiry date, GreenScape Environmental Consultants Ltd. reserves the right to revise pricing due to market fluctuations in Uganda Kampala.
• Payment terms: 30% advance mobilization upon contract signing; 40% upon completion of the EIA and remediation planning deliverables; 30% upon final project acceptance and submission of the closing report to NEMA.
• All invoices shall be payable within thirty (30) days of receipt. Late payments shall attract interest at the rate of 2% per month as stipulated under the Uganda Contracts Act.
• The Environmental Engineer services shall be performed in strict compliance with the National Environment Management Act (Cap 153), the Uganda National Environment (Wastewater Discharge) Regulations, 2008, and all applicable KCCA by-laws governing environmental management in Uganda Kampala.
• GreenScape Environmental Consultants Ltd. shall maintain professional indemnity insurance of not less than UGX 500,000,000 for the duration of the engagement.
• Any variation in scope exceeding 10% of the total Quotation Estimate value shall require a written amendment signed by both parties before additional work commences.
• All data, reports, and deliverables produced under this engagement shall remain the property of the Kampala Capital City Authority upon full payment.
• Disputes arising from this Quotation Estimate or the resulting contract shall be resolved through mediation in Kampala, Uganda, in accordance with the Uganda Arbitration Act, 2000.

By signing below, the client acknowledges receipt of this Quotation Estimate and agrees to the scope of Environmental Engineer services, pricing, and terms as outlined for the Uganda Kampala project.
