This Quotation Estimate is issued by Meridian Environmental Consulting Ltd in response to the formal request for professional services from Thames Riverside Development Group. The purpose of this document is to provide a comprehensive, itemised financial estimate for the engagement of a qualified Environmental Engineer and associated technical team to deliver environmental assessment, remediation planning, and regulatory compliance services for the client's development project situated within the United Kingdom London metropolitan area. All pricing contained within this Quotation Estimate is exclusive of Value Added Tax (VAT) at the prevailing UK rate of 20%, which will be applied at the point of invoicing in accordance with HM Revenue & Customs regulations.
The Environmental Engineer engaged under this Quotation Estimate shall deliver the following professional services within the United Kingdom London jurisdiction, in full compliance with the Environmental Protection Act 1990, the Water Resources Act 1991, and all applicable guidance issued by the Environment Agency (EA) and the London Borough planning authorities:
- Phase II Desk Study and Site Characterisation: The Environmental Engineer shall conduct a thorough desk-based assessment of the 12.4-hectare Thames Basin site, reviewing historical land use records, British Geological Survey data, and existing Environmental Agency contamination registers specific to the United Kingdom London area.
- Groundwater and Surface Water Monitoring Programme: Design and implementation of a 12-month monitoring regime for groundwater abstraction points and surface water receptors along the River Thames corridor, in accordance with the UK Water Framework Directive transposition.

4.1 Validity: This Quotation Estimate shall remain valid for a period of ninety (90) calendar days from the date of issue. Beyond this period, all rates and charges are subject to revision based on prevailing market conditions in the United Kingdom London professional services sector.
4.2 Payment Terms: Invoices shall be issued monthly in arrears. Payment is due within thirty (30) days of the invoice date. Late payments shall attract interest at the rate of 4% above the Bank of England base rate, in accordance with the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998.
4.3 Professional Indemnity: The Environmental Engineer and Meridian Environmental Consulting Ltd maintain Professional Indemnity Insurance with a minimum cover of £10,000,000 per claim, in compliance with the Institution of Environmental Engineers (IEEM) and the Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE) professional standards applicable in the United Kingdom London region.
4.4 Health and Safety: All site activities shall be conducted in strict compliance with the Health and Safety at Work etc. Act 1974, the Management of Health and Safety at Work Regulations 1999, and the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015. A site-specific Risk Assessment and Method Statement (RAMS) shall be provided prior to any fieldwork in the United Kingdom London project area.
4.5 Intellectual Property: All reports, data, and deliverables produced under this Quotation Estimate shall become the property of the client upon full payment. The Environmental Engineer retains the right to reference the project in professional portfolios subject to client confidentiality agreements.
4.6 Dispute Resolution: Any disputes arising from this Quotation Estimate shall be resolved through mediation in accordance with the CEDR (Centre for Effective Dispute Resolution) procedures, with jurisdiction in the courts of England and Wales, United Kingdom London.
4.7 Force Majeure: Neither party shall be liable for delays or failures in performance caused by events beyond reasonable control, including but not limited to acts of God, government regulation changes affecting the United Kingdom London environmental framework, or public health emergencies.
