3.1 This Quotation Estimate is valid for thirty (30) calendar days from the date of issue. Beyond this period, all rates for the Film Director’s services and associated costs in Tanzania Dar es Salaam are subject to revision based on prevailing market conditions and exchange rate fluctuations.
3.2 Payment terms: 30% advance payment upon acceptance of this Quotation Estimate, 40% upon completion of principal photography, and 30% upon delivery of the final edited master. All payments shall be made in Tanzanian Shillings (TZS) via bank transfer to the account of Soko Visual Productions Ltd., National Bank of Commerce, Dar es Salaam branch.
3.3 The Film Director retains full creative authority over artistic decisions including shot selection, pacing, and narrative structure. The client reserves the right to request up to two (2) rounds of editorial revisions at no additional cost. Further revisions will be billed at the Film Director’s standard daily rate.
3.4 All intellectual property rights in the final film product shall vest in the client upon full payment. The Film Director retains the right to display the work in professional portfolios, festival submissions, and industry showcases, subject to a 90-day embargo from the client’s public release date.
3.5 This Quotation Estimate does not include costs for camera equipment rental, sound recording, music licensing, or distribution. These items may be quoted separately upon the client’s written request.
3.6 Any force majeure event, including but not limited to government-imposed restrictions in Dar es Salaam, severe weather affecting coastal filming locations, or public health emergencies, shall suspend the production timeline without penalty to either party.
3.7 All work shall be conducted in accordance with the Tanzania Copyright and Neighbouring Rights Act (Cap. 307) and the regulations of the Tanzania Film Commission. The Film Director and all crew members shall hold valid work permits as required by the Immigration and Passport Services of Tanzania.
