• This Quotation Estimate is valid for thirty (30) calendar days from the date of issue. Beyond this period, all rates are subject to revision based on prevailing market conditions in Uganda Kampala.
• Payment terms: 40% advance upon signing of the production agreement, 40% upon completion of principal photography, and 20% upon delivery of the final mastered film.
• The Film Director retains full creative authority over artistic decisions during production. However, the client reserves the right to request up to three (3) editorial revisions at no additional cost, as stipulated in Line Item 4.
• All filming activities within the Kampala metropolitan area require prior permits from the Kampala Capital City Authority (KCCA). The cost of such permits is included in this quotation. Any additional locations outside Kampala will be quoted separately.
• Intellectual property: Upon full and final payment, all rights to the finished film, including the director’s creative contributions, shall vest in the client. The Film Director retains the right to display the work in personal portfolios and industry festivals, subject to the client’s written approval.
• Force Majeure: Neither party shall be liable for delays caused by events beyond reasonable control, including but not limited to government-imposed restrictions, severe weather conditions common to the Uganda Kampala region, or civil unrest.
• This quotation is governed by the laws of the Republic of Uganda. Any disputes arising from this engagement shall be resolved through arbitration in Kampala in accordance with the Arbitration Act, Cap 72 of the Laws of Uganda.
• All rates are quoted in Ugandan Shillings (UGX). Where international payments are required, the exchange rate shall be the Bank of Uganda mid-market rate on the date of invoicing.
